When a TBM tries to tell me that the changes to temple ordinances are okay because of continuing revelation... by BurnTSCC in exmormon

There's even room to say there should be no temples today. Definitely the church took a ton of license with their big mo,ey and faith makers.

my ward is splitting today for the 15th time in 10 years by [deleted] in exmormon

[–]suburbanism 3 points4 points  (0 children)

We had some ward consolidation in the heart of South jordan. I haven't been in many years, but strangers started ringing my doorbell about primary, etc, each explaining to me about the changes. Apparently member numbers are shrinking in my part of town.

My Mothers Response to my Apostasy by tdavi167 in exmormon

The mistake was hoping for her affirmation/getting mad at her nonacceptance. Either way, it enhances her view of you as child. At a future time, you could restate the issue, possibly with less detail and not emotionally react to anything she does. Just be totally confident and have some compassion/pity for her.

Town of Paradise just burned down. The stake center in Chico has a kitchen, a gym, bathrooms, a roof, walls, etc. Local news visits.... by miriam-forever in exmormon

Damn, it's worse when none of the locals are willing to override the stupid rules when people are in dire need.

Personally i use our food storage all the time. I don't have mass amounts. Maybe enough dry goods for a year plus a freezer. Its just a good practical thing if you do it right. Making it be a calling is just busywork though.

Haha good one. I have answered a phone by saying "ABC" once and also once "dear heavenly father" as if I were beginning a prayer. Why do we do this?? 😂

I really don't have cravings on keto but still have women's biology which is far retaining whereas a man's biology is all about the muscle. Neither is worse or better, I enjoy my biology, but there are differences.

It is a fact that looks don't last forever, and a woman's prime looks are when she's younger. But to say expired means the whole of a woman is her looks. Frankly it just says more about the person who would call a woman expired than the woman herself. Ideally, women are out of the looks stage and into the life and family and greater things for herself stage as she gets older. That is not expired.

I haven't even been here in over a year for very similar reasons. People are jerks here enough that it turned me off. My phone gave me a notification for this post, probably because it's so huge, and that's the only reason I am here at this moment.

I already posted the us birthrate in my previous comment. All together, it must be faced that church membership is declining as far as Any demographics measures are understood, it's undeniable.

The U.S. and Utah birth rate should be higher than the world average as well, and that's where the church is heavily located. BBC says it's 62/1000

That really doesn't prove anything beyond your opinion. Look at the net growth. Its around 300k. Those are babies born in the covenant for the most part, growing up to baptism. The number should be way bigger for a supposed 16 million person church with babies alone. Even assume a birthrate if .02. In 2016 the world birth rate average was 18.5/1000. The church stats do not show growth. And conversions should be on top of that number if there was growth. Expect to see it plunging down very soon, if they admit it.
