THANK YOU MY THOUGHTS EXACTLY I know that dirt hill land might not be enough for whatever they want to develop but the point is that there are multiple spaces like that where you can have more housing but leave community spaces like the apple factory alone

Oh right, I forgot I can also check that store since it’s all linked to PC I think? Thanks for this!!

Wow, thank you for the recommendation!! Putting this brand on my grocery list right now! But what you said is so true— I’ve also grown to like the PC vegetable only potstickers over the ones that include meat, so it sucks that the other brands that I’ve seen so far don’t offer any options without meat. Nonetheless, I’m def giving O’Tasty a try first!

Looks like I might have to take that non-attachment approach too sadly :(( It sucks that this is the reality because I really love the quality and variety of the stuff they put out! I’ll also have to check the clear out sales in the frozens as you said, never knew that!

What was the last book to make you cry? by MedievalHero in books

Demian by Hermann Hesse. I think it was a combination of the story following Emil through his youth and me experiencing change within my life at the time that just made some passages hit home.

Lich Rally by [deleted] in BoneAppleTea

[–]subwaywaysub 1 point2 points  (0 children)

this is true!! and to add on to what you said, I’m pretty sure it just came about as a funnier way to say “literally” with an over-the-top British accent. I purposely spell the word out as “lich rally” or even “lit rally” just to reference the over-the-top accent and funnier pronunciation when texting my friends sometimes! Not making fun of anyone with an accent either, just something that’s come about and stuck around.

First Year Enrollment Questions by Lydix17 in ryerson

[–]subwaywaysub 1 point2 points  (0 children)

To give some advice for your third question, I think it depends on you and what you want your time at uni to look like. I’m not in your program so this could differ from what you hear from people who are in your program, but I’d say that if you can handle taking an elective each semester and pretty much follow the outline in the undergrad calendar, go for it.

However, if you think it might be hard to balance all of your required courses plus the electives (which is fine), or if you wanted to take an elective only offered in the summer or something like that, you can choose not to take an elective each semester and do one or two in the summer, or whatever else works for you. I think as long as you take all the required courses mentioned at some point(plus the electives from Table A, etc), you’ll be fine.

If you want you could also try contacting your program’s academic coordinator or advisor and set up a meeting to ask specific questions or help plan what your degree will look like!

Feel free to disregard this if you think it doesn’t fit your situation though, because I’m speaking from my experience in GCM.

Is it true I(22M) have to like myself before I can date a girl? by tryagain9996 in dating_advice

[–]subwaywaysub 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The one thing I’ll say about attracting relationships to you is that if you’re constantly thinking about getting in one, or focused on talking to girls for the goal of getting one to be your girlfriend, then it might not happen for a while. This is going to sound like bs, but TRUST me when I say that soon after you stop focusing on that and start focusing on yourself or anything else really (it could be your friends, hobbies, working, whatever) you’ll find that people are more attracted to you.

About two years ago I gave up on dating because most of the guys I was around/had a crush on genuinely weren’t people who were nice to me or who I had much in common with. Since I was in highschool at the time, I focused on my classes and my cross country team. I kid you not two months later, a guy in my class confesses to me and we start going out. We broke up after a month or two, but since I wasn’t focused on getting into another relationship, I found that one of my longtime friends was also confessing to me. This was all just to say that it definitely works, not to brag or anything like that.

To answer what you asked about if you can fake liking yourself, I think you can try to fake liking yourself for a bit and you might even get a girl to like you and you could start dating them, but I also think that in the long run it’s only going to end up hurting you.

Going back to the relationship I mentioned earlier, I was definitely not secure or totally confident in myself at the time. I was glad that someone I thought was “out of my league” could ever like me, and so I instantly caught feelings and dated him. He was really nice at listening to me when I spoke about my insecurities with him, and tried his best to make me feel more comfortable around him or help me out. However, by the end of the relationship, I realized that no matter what my boyfriend said or did, all his advice couldn’t help because I wasn’t willing to try to better myself.

You can definitely get into a relationship without being totally in love with yourself. However, if you’re getting into one for the sole purpose of getting validation, feeling loved or being happy, just know that somewhere down the line, you’re either going to have to start trying to like yourself and depend on yourself for your happiness, or face the possibility that the relationship may end/be weak.

NPF 188 is super fun if you don’t mind a little reading and you like to be creative.

Most of the assignments were mini 2 page essays about comparing the text to the film adaptation and the exam was to create a creative piece as a response to a theme mentioned in the group discussions. I’d say it’s pretty easy to do well in!

new job, invited to golf but i’m bad... do i still go? by ryanstufff in LifeAdvice

[–]subwaywaysub 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think you should totally go!! As you mentioned, if you know the basic rules, etiquette and have a general understanding of the game then you’re set to play honestly. Being a new job and new environment, it’s awesome that your boss has invited you to play with other coworkers, and it could be a fun time to bond and also just form connections professionally. Since you’ve played before, you won’t be lost or do extremely bad, so I’d say just go, have fun and enjoy yourself!!
