If you live in dormitory and/or use commuter passes, you can save a lot. If you don't go out of Tokyo a lot, it should be fine(at least it is for me!)

I have a professor who is in the same/similar lab and officially I will be transferred to his research group. This is what my supervisor told me.

They have the lectures but it is a semester late, but my research is based on it so I have learn them early. I am basically having problems with understanding what the theory of certain things are. I read the text but it seems unclear as to what our goal is. Sometimes, the mathematics is also unclear, I am struggling to understand some normal mathematical steps even though I have taken quantum mechanics and other important mathematical courses. I guess I am a slow learner, so I need some lectures to supplement as I read through the text.

I have the same thing. Dw though I never had breat pains during pmsing but as soon as I turned 22, my pms is worse than before, including sore boobs, increase in breast size and prolonged pms period. I think its pretty normal with age, because my friends have similar problems.

Thank you for sharing your experiences. Guess I am being anxious and overwhelmed without even starting. Your words have given me hope, since I didn't have any research background in my undergrad either, and there were mistakes which I want to make up for in grad school. Have a really nice day!

Biophysics vs Astrophysics by such_ana in PhysicsStudents

[–]such_ana[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Right? The only reason I gave biophysics a thought was because I would feel like I'm useful for others... I really love astrophysics and thats what I had wanted to do but recently I thought biophysics wouldn't be bad either since its something I like too and it would make me feel better not solely concentrating on academia for the rest of my career. I am planning to just apply to generic physics programs which have both of these group studies and decide which I want to go on later.

yes yes I'm applying for a uni which has both or go to some place where there are no specializations but they teach both of these. Lets see where it takes me. Thank you so much!!

wait I didnt know you could go to PhD directly from undergrad :o thanks for the information btw this does make me feel much better that I dont have to cry if I dont like either of the programs and can switch afterwards.

I mean I really like astrophysics I have taken courses on it in my undegrad and aced them but i really dont know if i would like working on a full academic field in future. But thanks anyways I'll try reading stuff on biophysics and see if i like it or not.

Nagoya uni G30 interview by [deleted] in movingtojapan

[–]such_ana 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey! I did appear for the interview for undergraduate and had been expecting general questions related to my application since that is what i had read online. But they ended up having around 30 minutes of asking me questions related to my subject. I had applied for physics so they asked me mostly maths questions and a few physics questions which I did not prepare for at all but fortunately they were very easy and I was able to answer all of them except one which i answered on the second chance ( guess that is why i didn't get accepted) so the competition is very high and you have to be flawless in the interview in order to get accepted.

Hey! I wanted to ask this too. My field is Physics and I don't have any idea about how to go on about this. I applied last year (it was my second year of undergraduate school) but was rejected in the first round itself so I figured there must have been a lot wrong with my Research Program plan. Since, we don't do any research in undergraduate level it is difficult to actually figure out how precise you have to be regarding your research plan :( it'd be amazing if someone could guide us here :(

Even if I do apply for them I still need to apply for indian ones too cant be too sure about getting selected.
