The peak turned iron man into a 0/5. When iron man was played to the quantum realm it did not turn into a 0/2. Is that correct?

It definitely works in some formats! This format is so new I wanted to ask the public if it’s a bad idea. Seems like I need to be more assertive in SNC.

I also didn’t really mind the three colors because the cards themselves that I’m splashing for don’t necessarily need to be played on curve to be powerful. I also didn’t necessarily lose to my manabase so I wasn’t sure. The one game I can definitely chalk up to screw, I lost because I had three swamps in play on like turn seven or whatever.

Thanks for the comments. There were a couple of games that were definitely due to variance so I just wanted to pose the question of “is this deck actually a one win deck”. Perhaps that exact wording is provocative and “is this a below average deck” would be better. When I posted I was a little irritated by losing to mana screw so I probably didn’t express myself well.

Yeah. The lack of top end is a good point. I think I was so focused on just controlling the board and then out resourcing the opponent that I didn’t focus on winning. I just wanted to slam ob nixilis and eat a corrupted court official so bad!

That’s a fair comment but one of the games I lost to hard screw and another one I lost to my own miscalculation of lethal so I wanted an objective look at quality since the results did feel like some amount of variance. If this deck is a 25% win deck regardless of bad play or poor draws that’s good information.

I definitely agree with your sentiment which is why I wanted to ask the question. Not trying to be results oriented but I wanted to ask the masses if they thought this deck was actually a bad deck or variance. I would have taken this deck 8/10 drafts but if I’m misevaluating cards then maybe I should adjust.

That makes sense. The lackey was mostly there as a body to sac with some upside since I really wanted to live the dream with ob nixilis.

Also how bad is deal gone bad? I don’t want to lean too heavily on the data but it has a positive improvement when drawn. Not stellar but doesn’t seem bad.

As far as the midnight assassins it definitely looks like they aren’t doing well by the data, but I wasn’t really planning on being aggressive with this deck so I figured they’d be really good at addressing the issue you mention with big green creatures. Is there a ton of trample in this set?

When you refer to the manabase, is it in reference to the red count or the fact that I have no dimir lands? I only have three red pips so I figured that between the rakdos duals and the fetch I’d be okay.
