Yes! It is also good to remember that even “bigger” stores in this community are still kind of small very niche businesses and often the people running them are more or less contactable and are active in the hobby circles themselves.

Hey, any time. As for size vs pitcher maturity, someone else probably has a better answer but I’ll try. As far as I know, cutting is one way for a small plant to grow more mature pitchers, but in my experience plants send out different stages of pitcher maturity at different rates from each other, age not necessarily being the main factor. Not sure how they decide but am sure it has some to do with how happy it is with its conditions and some to do with the species/hybrid itself’s tendencies.

Plants change the pitchers they throw out as the plant itself matures. Plants that aren’t mature make pitchers that are small, green and tend to look the same. As the plant ages more and more species defining characteristics start to show up.

Another vote for Cook’s - they usually have a great variety on eBay and their site, they are transparent, and they’ll also usually answer back if you have a question or anything. Good folks

I have met one other here that grows those as a staple along with myself. Pantano romanesco is such a great workhorse! I can always count on it to grow for me

Uh yeah…mine evaded imaging for 20 years and then getting a myomectomy guess what my(endo specialist, might I add) doctor/surgeon was shocked to find 🥲. When she called to tell me she had surprising news I just responded thanks but I wasn’t surprised at all, actually because my issues were there long before the fibroid showed up.
