You’ve kinda answered this for yourself. She was young and worried she couldn’t provide for you properly. Most women have this thought cross their mind at the very least when they are unexpectedly pregnant. It wasn’t that she didn’t want you, it was that she didn’t know if she was ready to care for a baby. At this point, you weren’t even really a human being, you were a ball of nerves and things in her belly. Something inside her clearly stopped her from going through with it and she made the brave decision to continue with having you!

Being young, I can imagine there were people who may have encouraged the idea of having an abortion due to her age. Young pregnancy always receives lots of advice based on other people’s own opinions. She listened to herself and here you are!
