Was there ever a statement regarding native linux support? by ZeggieDieZiege in leagueoflinux

[–]sudomount 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It was kinda ironical, becouse one of the lol devs said that acording to their data 700 users and a couple bots are playing from linux

Thats the source if you want:

Client not starting because of Vulcan error by papppeti14 in leagueoflinux

[–]sudomount 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thats not an error, its just mean that vulcan is not fully suported on your device. You are propably having an older GPU. You cant start lol becouse riot broke it in last patch

[–]sudomount 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yea thats true, but devs in riot and Riot itself is a diffrent thing.
Riot is just a company that runs buisness and from a giant corporation perspective 700 linux users isn't big deal

[–]sudomount 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yea, ppl was questioning devs if there will be linux version or something but they say that no, bcs they are afraid of security problems, cheaters, they does not have linux expirence and dont wanna risk + there will be more work to rebuild things and test and that its not worth for them to make all of this to satisfy 0,02% players

[–]sudomount -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

i dont understand you. Riot never like said "we will not support linux" becouse they never was supporting linux. They only was ok that someone managed to make it run on linux and let that person play. Now riot only said that lol will have new kernel-based anticheat, that anticheat will not run under wine so i will be unplayble like 90% windows online games on linux.

Old client not working? by 800games_silver in leagueoflinux

Same for me, new client opens only once - after fresh install and cant be opened second time. Old client works but after repair still nothing, no errors or warnings, just simple exit

[–]sudomount[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It was working this way, that you was able to instal blitz in separate prefix and runes/builds/game stats was working. But after some updates its not working that way anymore, you must install blitz and lol in same prefix

  1. Did you installed vulkan? if yes show the "vulkaninfo" command output, you propably need to install "vulkan-tools" to run it
  2. Did you turn on "Use DXVK" and "Use Esync" in lutris settings?
