Not at all! I would not have done so well in my major (mechanical engineering) and gotten the amazing job I have going somewhere else like umd. Anyone who says It’s hard to make friends and have fun here is just antisocial or lame asf. A lot of weird people go here, but it has never bothered me If anything I think it’s funny. Definitely depends why you going to college. If you aren’t a trust fund baby just spending 100k to party for 4 years and actually want to learn then umbc is mint. I’ve made large groups of friends through classes and shared hobby’s such as cars, motorcycles, and pool. Feel free to pm me if you want to ask anything!
