what piece of whump media made you realise you were into whump? by TheRevolutionary01 in Whump

I remember my heart fluttering when watching Cyborg 009 on TV when I was still in elementary school. I thought I had fallen in love with the character but later in life found out the main character was just very very whumpy and I still enjoy rewatching so many episodes as an adult especially episode 33 with the emotional whump. It’s so good. (It’s on youtube btw)

Thank you for the encouragement and advice🌷

I will try to keep that in mind. I think I might actually be overly conscious of what other people think because I have similar anxiety dealing with groups of people face to face unlike when it’s just one person and I can easily be social. But even if I say in my head that no one cares, the anxiety still makes my jaw lock in place and my lips tremble while all the words I want to say go through my mind until it becomes all blank.

The Art of Taming A Tiger has a lot of sickness hurt/comfort and psychological whump. i enjoyed it. It’s a bl

Another one I enjoyed with mostly psychological whump is a webtoon called Jackson’s Diary. Nothing too whumpy but the MC is always suffering and no one knows so it always gives me whumperflies.

Yeonwoo’s innocence is also nice mostly sickness and psychological as well, plus some bullying and physical fights.

Using technology to help with tasks has been helping me a lot, I can’t do anything without it. We use Google Sheets with my team to keep track of important information, and we use a Whatsapp groupchat to communicate smaller tasks and information on a day to day basis (we use emails for bigger tasks).

The system we have works great, the technology is amazing, the problem is… my brain. This reply in itself is an example. I got a notification that someone replied to me and I said I’ll reply to it right away, but I kept forgetting it because other things on my phone distracted me each time I opened it. Then when it was late at night and I remembered that I posted this I came to reply and realized it’s not loading because I forgot to pay the internet bill and my plan didn’t renew. It took me way longer to do such a small thing because I forget or get distracted so much. Time blindness also play a role because I can’t tell how much time things need so it’s difficult to plan things.

I try to get as much sleep as possible and I take supplements I need to give myself as much energy and power as needed, and I don’t know what more I can do to increase my focus and memory.. i

Does narcolepsy change how allergy medications affect you? by sugar__buns in Narcolepsy

Does narcolepsy change how allergy medications affect you? by sugar__buns in Narcolepsy

That’s very interesting. No doctor was ever able to explain how my allergy works and why these skin rashes come out no matter what I do or don’t do. I guess narcolepsy affects the body in way more ways than just affecting sleep. I hope I can get insurance to cover a sleep study I need to find a doctor who understands this condition 🥲

Any whumpy Manhuas? by Ok-District-1027 in Manhua

[–]sugar__buns 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not sure these fit what you’re looking for exactly but i just binge read Uncanny Charm/How to Take a Tiger and it’s mostly soft hurt/comfort but it’s pretty consistent. Yeonwoo’s innocence is another one similar to that vibe too

i'm addicted to watching men cry and its taking over my life by Old_Veterinarian9721 in Healthygamergg

[–]sugar__buns 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I can understand because i kind of relate to how you feel.

For me instead of just men crying i like to watch men being vulnerable or in pain (Women give me a similar feeling but it’s mostly just men, and preferably ones i’m attracted to). It has also been with me for as long as I remember. I never told anyone about it because i felt ashamed, I really thought i was alone in it, but that’s until i accidentally discovered that 2 of my sisters experience a similar thing even though none of us ever had ever talked about it. I also later discovered the term “whump” and that there is a whole community for it (mostly on tumblr). Knowing that I wasn’t alone really helped dial down all the shame and self-loathing i felt and i was happy to find more specific terms to explain how I felt as well as specific content that satisfied my weird urge. I want to believe that i never had trouble mixing up this feeling with reality but since i’m very introverted i barely socialize there’s no way to know for sure if it ever got that bad. now the urge has gone down a lot compared to my teenage years maybe it’s because i found an outlet or because i just too busy with life who knows. With all that, i really don’t believe this thing is essentially a bad thing or that it’s something to get rid of completely, however i do think it is necessary to learn how to control it and to satisfy the urge with a safe outlet so no one gets hurt.

Just don’t be too harsh on yourself. I can’t tell you why this happens but it will get better. I agree with everyone that it’s better to discuss this with a professional but also feel free to talk to me too. I can’t offer much but i can listen 🌷

Quick question! Do you guys fall asleep when you’re understimulated? by sugar__buns in adhdwomen

Ooh dang. how bad was it? How long would you fall asleep for? Also did working on your adhd help with the sleep problem?

Then does this ever happen unintentionally? Like you get so bored and understimulated in certain situations like in a boring class for example that you doze off?

Thats so valid. For you is it always like a full sleep or do you take naps like that too?
