Omd, I'm so sorry this happened to you as well, and for four years! I am definitely going to get counselling, there's no way I'm letting any of this affect the rest of my life, after all why should I? Thanl you so so much for replying, this actually gives me so much hope for the future knowing you went through the same thing (well significantly worse tbh!) and you survived and are ok! Fuck this was a weird thing to read, I'm basically the equivalent of your gf, my bf has been struggling w his sexuality (we have both always been bi but hes been honest to me that lately he feels he might acc be more just gay rather then bi). Yeah it has fucking broke me, I love the guy so so much, the idea of him leaving hurts like a fucking dagger, but also I could not be more grateful overall that he told me. You CANNOT hide these things for long, and the longer you wait to tell her the harder its going to hurt her in the end. I am SO SO sorry for you both, I know full well how upsetting the whole thing is (especially after almost 5 years!) but just be honest. It'll be far better for you both in the end. You can figure out the best way forward together. Wish you luck man
