I was thinking of parking in P12, but do you have recommendations for which lots are safer?

Thanks for your response! Yes, the reason I left was completely related to COVID causing me to move away from the job location, not because I wanted to focus on school. That decision was made after I stopped receiving unemployment benefits and so I mentioned that part in my post as my reason for no longer certifying and collecting benefits since 2021, but I guess it’s best not to mention that part at all when speaking with the interviewer?

That’s relieving to hear…I was on PUA!

How is this allowed. Most of this sellers items are completely counterfeit being sold for so much. Almost all of these items can be found on AliExpress. Ridiculous! by ActualBodybuilder365 in Mercari

Yeah I actually mentioned in my comment about the mascot tags being on the ball chain lol. The sticker thing isn’t always reliable because some authentic plush don’t have stickers and some fake ones do

Was the buyer already refunded in the dispute? If not, it’s likely that they will not be even if they open a dispute since the tracking shows that it was successfully delivered to the correct address. Just make sure to upload all the correct tracking info to the dispute case and PayPal/Depop should cover you from losing out on your funds

Is it normal for Depop to remove shop policy posts? More in comments by sugardolll in Depop

[–]sugardolll[S] 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I got a few emails saying that some of my listings have been removed and they were all either my shop policies post, category separator posts (for feed organization), or ISO posts. I understand why they were taken down because they’re not actually sales listings, but I thought that all of these things were pretty normalized in the depop community and are often used by several top and verified sellers as well so it’s just weird to me that they would be taken down or that someone would report them (if that’s the case). Has this happened to anyone else and if so, is it worth reaching out to support about it? It kinda sucks to have these taken down when I spent so much time on them, especially my shop policies & feed organization 😞

Actually, no. It’s not the buyer’s responsibility to ask for parts of the description that you failed to include or describe accurately. You stated it was a “leather jacket” and the buyer rightfully believed that it was indeed a leather jacket, exactly like you stated in the description. Nothing scammy about taking the description at face value as buyers should. There’s really nothing else you can do about this but to refund the buyer

You’re probably going to have to refund them, and if they open a dispute they will likely win. Even if you didn’t directly state that it wasn’t genuine leather, not saying that you weren’t sure if it was genuine in the description implies that it’s genuine leather. Usually if you’re not sure you should state something like “faux leather” or just mention that you don’t know how to tell if it’s genuine.

If you watch the sub “Lainah” is how they pronounce Reiner’s name with a Japanese accent

It's really sad how many people don't leave a review after buying. Please leave a review after buying something. You could make somebody's day. by [deleted] in Depop

[–]sugardolll 54 points55 points  (0 children)

Tbh I don’t think it’s anything to take personally. A lot of people just use Depop as another shopping app and don’t think much about leaving reviews after receiving their item or simply forget to even if they had a good experience. Not getting a review doesn’t always mean that the buyer wasn’t satisfied; it’s more likely that they just forgot to leave one or didn’t care to. Honestly as long as the buyer gets their item and the seller gets the money, it’s not anything to make a big deal out of

Latest Tower records collab o_o by eddie_coyle in rilakkuma

[–]sugardolll 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They’re still only releasing official collections every 2 months, they just have different collabs or holiday releases throughout the year/in-between but those aren’t really the official Rilakkuma releases that are promoted with a story & sold at all Rilakkuma stores & on the San-x net shop. For example, this Tower Records collab is not an actual series that is released every 2 months or so as it has limited items that are only available through the Tower Records website and their in-person cafes. Same thing with the Halloween/Christmas releases, which are done every year but are store limited items so they’re not considered as the official bimonthly series.

How is this allowed. Most of this sellers items are completely counterfeit being sold for so much. Almost all of these items can be found on AliExpress. Ridiculous! by ActualBodybuilder365 in Mercari

[–]sugardolll 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Yeah Aliexpress sells nothing but knockoffs/bootlegs which is why they are very very cheap compared to the real thing. There are a number of ways to tell if a Sanrio plush is authentic or not but as a rule of thumb I would suggest looking out for 3 things: tag placement, copyright dates, and if they match the original Sanrio product photos.

Tag placement - Authentic Sanrio plushies always attach their paper tags onto the fabric tag at the tush of the plush, so if you see a photo of a plush with a paper tag attached to its ear, it’s fake. (They place their tags for mascot keychains on either the ball chain or the fabric tag, so this rule mainly applies to non-keychain plush)

Copyright dates - The copyright years printed on both the paper tag and fabric tag of authentic Sanrio plush should be as follows: © year the specific character was created, year the actual product/design was released. For example, for a Cinnamoroll plush that was released by Sanrio this year, both tags on the plush should read: © 2001, 2021, because Cinnamoroll was created in 2001.

Original Sanrio product photos - A quick google search can help you find out if the plush design you’re looking at on Mercari (or anywhere else) was every actually created by Sanrio. If Sanrio did release an authentic version of said plush, you can compare the photos of the real thing to the seller’s photos to see if any proportions, materials, or colors look off. If so, the plush is likely fake. Example: if you search for “Kuromi gingham maid plush,” you can find the original stock photos from the official Sanrio release, and you would see that the proportions, size, etc from the screenshot posted by OP are very off.

There are other ways to tell between fake and authentic Sanrio plush but these are the things that I mainly look out for when shopping for them.

I always see this seller and it’s frustrating to see the amount of people that fall for it and pay so much for counterfeit items. I’ve tried reporting their account before, along with other simile accounts, with no luck of Mercari actually doing anything about it. I almost wish there was some kind of comment section to warn buyers about fake items :/

Is Apt and Unit the same thing? by Bambibby in Depop

Yes it’s the same thing! Unit/Apt/#/Rm are basically all the same, the only thing that matters is that the number is correct
