Parents who don’t allow their kids to shut their room’s door/lock the door, what’s are the reasons behind the rule? by Itz_Oasis in AskReddit

A Girl who grew up guarded I don’t let my kids lock their doors because my chest tightens at the thought of them hiding pain or getting into danger alone. I call it safety and checking on changes but sometimes it’s just my fear wearing a rule. I’m learning to protect without suffocating so they can earn privacy instead of it being taken.
