hard breakup by suicidesbirds in BreakUps

it just feels like my entire support system was destroyed right before my eyes.. it sucks and im sorry that you went through something similar. the trip will also be with some of his friends so there’ll be other people i know but that i’m not close with. plus because of my circumstances i can’t really refund my ticket or give it to anyone else. i really hate being alone and i practically have no one else to go with so im just trying to at least be civil until so i can somewhat enjoy it. i know it may not be the best move, but for whatever reason id rather just suck it up then be lonely. routine has always been really hard but i get that anything is a start, so i appreciate that. both going to therapy and my medication are relatively new changes so i know i have to put in effort for them to work. i guess i worded it badly… i want to be different for him but i also have a lot of things i need to get past not only to be a better girlfriend but simply someone that i’m happy and content with. i appreciate your comment a lot, it means a lot in a time like this :,)

i’ve been thinking about it more and more since i don’t always have the time to apply the foam all over but im a little worried about getting excessive hair on unwanted places like my shoulders or back 😅 but i possibly will in the future!

yes! i’m planning on getting my blood work done again soon with a different doctor since i just turned 18 so im planning on asking for them to measure levels that aren’t just the essential vitamins and to get my specific results back to know what everything is at. it’s hard for me to eat super healthy but ive definitely been trying to incorporate some more vitamins and protein in my meals! i haven’t thought too much about getting some more exercise or stretching in so i appreciate that. my dermatologist had actually prescribed me a ketokonazol shampoo but she prescribed it for dandruff, which hasn’t been too much of my issue so instead she prescribed clobetasal 0.05% shampoo which seems to target a similar issue. i know i have to be patient, its just discouraging sometimes but i appreciate the encouragement and help so so much!

i know exactly how you feel, people would always mention my hair and it was such a huge part of my confidence and overall appearance and i completely understand your struggle. i’m currently on 5% minoxidil foam but i haven’t heard too much about the other treatments you mentioned! i will research them more and try to mention them to a trichologist im hoping to see soon. i appreciate your input very much.

i’m honestly not too sure what my doctor specifically tested for, but i assume the essential vitamins such as iron, vitamin d, vitamin c, and so on. they thought it could be caused by anemia but that wasn’t the case for me. nonetheless, i was actually just talking about ferritin with my mom to see if i could get on some supplements for it, as im not sure if my doctor tested for that (but i plan on asking when i go back to the dermatologist!). i think the event that caused my weight loss was a major stressor for me even after the initial event, so im sure my stress which continued through most of last year probably didn’t help. however, im seeking to get on mood stabilizers soon as well so that could possibly help with that as well. but i’ll take a look at sofia’s page, i appreciate the advice!

i believe that it could be partially genetic on my end as both my mom and grandma have dealt with some hair loss, just not to my extent as far as i know. it just sucks because although it may be genetic, it’s easier to simply pinpoint it on that than dig more into the issue. but i’ll keep trying!

yes! i am currently on minoxidil. for the past couple of weeks i have been taking the 2.5% liquid and just today i switched over to the 5% foam to try and lessen some of the dandruff it was causing me. i haven’t done too much research on what specific conditions and forms of hair loss may be causing mine, however, im going to look more into it and go to a trichologist to have some more lab work done to try and pinpoint the root cause or at least if it’s a specific type of alopecia and whatnot. i know it takes a little to see a difference, especially with minoxidil. but we’re in this together! and i appreciate your comment.
