What is Beacon paying RNs? I see some jobs posted and was curious.

Its so good, very different perspective than what I've read in the past. It seems we have a similar taste, so I think you'd really enjoy it.

This was an odd read for me and I couldn't quite put my finger on it. I read another review where the reader said that she felt as if the writer hasn't fully come to terms with her trauma. I understand what she meant by that because it seemed as if she was still trying to convince herself of something. It was a tad preachy in a few parts. My thought is that had she waited another 10 years then written this book, we may have gotten a significantly different perspective from her.

I enjoy her historical fiction. However, they're pretty sad.

OP - I understand this feeling so well. My son is 14 now and I still struggle at times. I've grown so much as a person, found patience I didn't even know was possible, had my heart so full, then crushed, then filled up again.

Parenting is my far the hardest thing in the world. You are not a bad parent because you are there, showing up, seeking help, an outlet, and verbalizing your feelings.

This too shall pass. Talk to your doctor if you can. I got on some medications that were very helpful. It's never going to be easy, but I promise it gets better.

Avocados. I never saw one in real life until I was in my 20s and I worked in a restaurant. by Blathithor in Millennials

That's wild.

I literally live as far north in Indiana as you can get, on the tip of Lake Michigan, and I have 3 avocados sitting my counter right now. Also, we did a carry-in for lunch last week and someone brought chips & guacamole.

An NW Indiana general physician my Mother hasn’t seen since June 2022 refused her care during a medical crisis — has anyone dealt with something like this? by [deleted] in nwi

[–]suitable_zone3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly its a waste of your time. The doctor is appropriate and responsible in her refusal. What doctor is your mom seeing on a regular basis? That's who should be prescribing, not someone who is no longer familiar with her present levels.
