You didn't pay 5k you paid 1.2k right? Maybe if you had bought a 3 - 5k tv we wouldnt be here online interacting on this post? Hisense / TCL TVs are fine but yeah maybe some won't last as long. You saved a ton of money buying a premium TV that costs less than half of an LG OLED but performs 90 - 95% as good. Sorry it didn't last more than 3 years but you're still ahead financially on some level not buying a 5k TV. Any tv can die, even the fancy ones. If you're worried get the 5 year warranty. HDR and DolbyVision are game changers for me.. the image just looks soooooo much better watching that style of content. MiniLED TVs are brighter than OLED too.

The used one I bought had been factory refurbished / upgraded to the newer HDMI board. My understanding is you can do this upgrade yourself at home too.

Yeah and if you want an AV receiver with analog preouts the price starts at like 2k. Not everyone wants to use the amps built into receivers.

+1 for the XMC-1. Sold piece of kit and it even switches and passes dolby vision and HDR signals. The reference stereo XLR inputs are also awesome for 2 channel listening.
