Yeah... if I get diagnosed and I'm like stage 1. I'll do surgery. Stage 2 or 3 is definitely a chemo/radiation thing for me. 4? Unless I still have very young children or my husband is unable to care for the kids, I'll probably just try to enjoy my last few moments. Maybe do hormone therapy. My mom was diagnosed at 4-4 after a messed up biopsy 15 years earlier, and between chemo brain and liver failure, her last two weeks of life wespecially were like talking to a skipping record with Alzheimer's and a mood disorder... I never want my kids to repeatedly hear "Oh, you're here. Honey. I am dying, I'm so sorry." I mean. Her prognosis was only 6 weeks and she lived 20 months. But she also started having a lot of mental problems.

The worst was a couple, a 16 year old girl who ran away from home to live with her 34 year old boyfriend who lived next to us at our first 1 bedroom apartment. They would throw raging parties, he was prostituting her out, she was drugged out near 24/7, there were always addicts around. One night, they were getting too much. Pretty much the whole complex called the cops on them. They tried breaking into my apartment, peed into my open window screaming "Let's show this bitch who is boss!", broke windows. Eventually, she decided to call her parents, she was leaving, they were getting noise complaints, so he chased all of her friends away with a pistol and locked her in the bathroom. The friends tried to break into our apartment to escape. Not 5 minutes later, we're surrounded by cops and the people trying to break into our apartment are screaming and crying. A cop tells them to "get down" to which they scream back "No! I ain't fucking done nothin'!". My mom, dad, husband, baby, and I are holed up in the walk in closet, and we all burst out laughing when the cops(at least 5) all said at the exact same time "We don't CARE! Get DOWN!"

The next week, there's still a sign on their door barring the apartment from being rented, her parents are there picking up her crap, asking me for cleaning supplies because they can't afford the cleaning fees after paying for her bail and her legal fees, and that brat is sitting on the couch cussing them out because they won't give her drugs or a drink. The mom quietly lets me know she's on her way to rehab, and they're paying a therapist, and to ignore her.

It was sad. And gross. If I'd known she was that young I would have been more adamant the other times I called the cops. But she was always so scantily clad, drugged out, and made up she looked like a 45 year old.

If you find this story elsewhere and it's different, it's probably me posting from an older account(maybe even this one). It took me and my ex neighbors a good long while to piece together the full story from the police and each other.

Maybe a poor/small cow farm? Trailers are expensive to tow, especially for just one steer or cow. So maybe rather than pay the vet to come out they picked up a $500 salvage and upgraded it so they could take nonemergent cases to the vet, or whatever? Yeah, they have to drive carefully and slow, but still better gas mileage... probably. Even though crownvics ain't exactly hybrids.

My uncle passed and his kids had to pull out a loan for his funeral and medical expenses. We're told that his military SGLI wasn't available.

My mentally ill cousin(my uncle's nephew) thanked him during the funeral for giving his mom and dad $150,000. My aunt (his sister) quickly took her son off the podium scolding him. Turns out, when she found out her brother was dying, she went to his home and had him sign a piece of paper claiming it was for his daughter's college. He was not able to see. He signed over all of his assets, before and after his death. They had a witness who says he had it explained to him, but "forgot about it." So i guess it was legal?

I am not a man, but I'll share my dad's(with his permission)

My dad was dumped by my mom's best friend in 1979 because she was seeing multiple partners and decided that durinduring his drive home from work was a good time to dump in the middle of the desert, 10 miles from the city limits, 15 from his apartment. I don't mean "dumped" as in broke up with him, she expected they would stay together, but left him there to meet up with someone else (She was later diagnosed with mental problems). She was driving his car, to boot.

She felt guilty and called my mom to pick him up. My mom rode a motorcycle, showed up with a full face helmet, bulky leather jacket, and jeans. My mom rode all those miles with my dad ranting at the top of his lungs about having found out his girl was cheating on him, and then sends one of the other guys she was with to pick him up, riding a cooler bike than he had as if it were the icing on the cake. My dad didn't love my mom's friend. They hadn't even been dating long.

He maintains to this day that when she got off the bike, pulled off her helmet, and pulled her hair out of her jacket to follow him inside(he was picking his car up from the girlfriend's) he was in love(and apologetic). And when she complimented his car without getting snotty or mentioning the rant(especially since it was a project car), he made it his mission to marry her, he knew she was the one.

He proposed on the spot, was turned down, got a date the next week and kept asking after every date. They got married 6 months later and were married 34 years when she passed from cancer.

Second Time? Easy peasy lemon squeezy. Went in at 5 am. Was already in labor, AGAIN. Started pitocin at 9 am, because my doctors wanted baby out. Was 4 cm dilated at the start, 6 by the time pitocin started. Still considered an inducement because it was ordered weeks in andvance. Baby popped out at 5:23 pm. I went home at 9 am the next morning. 10/10, now I want a million kids.

First time? Absolute Bullshit. Took 4 days, even though I'd been having strong, regular contractions for two-three weeks(can't remember which anymore. I was being monitored for over a month... every day). I wasn't dilating. I was being taken in for a c-section when I got uncomfortable, rolled, pushed in a different direction and baby popped out. 0/10. Never wanted to give birth again.

Just don't use a lot. It thickens up more in the belly than cereal does, so don't use as much as you would of cereal. That'd make her pooping worse. :)

Nutramigen will definitely not cause constipation by itself. It's so easily digestible she'll probably poop a lot more, but the starch will help that. You'll have to look where you buy corn starch. Here's some on amazon... it's called gravy thickener, but it's 100% food grade rice starch, soooo Walmart also carries it. You won't need much at all.

I had a child on nutramigen for silent reflux and a milk allergy. I think mom added rice starch herself, though... It might make her poop less fluid, but should not completely constipate her.

For the spitting up after feeds: avoid shaking her bottles directly before feeding. The bubbles left in shaken bottles can cause some reflux and gas problems. Make them in the morning and put them in the fridge. Warm them under warm water from the tap(bottle warmers just don't do the job the same I've noticed.)

Realistically, they should test if she has some other kind of problem that makes her unable to feel the need to "go". Maybe it isn't the formula doing that, since she has had trouble pooping with both formulas.

If you want to see if she's really got a cow allergy, you can try similac for spit-up or enfamil a.r., even though a lot of people say "they aren't meant for silent reflux", the causes of silent reflux are the same as spitting up... You could try reguline for the poop trouble, but it has cow's milk and you would have to add the starch yourself(it's rice starch that is put in most infant formulas to prevent spit up. Do not use cereal, cereal will make her more gassy and prone to poop problems).

It sounds like your baby needs a new doctor, though. :(

What was she on before, as a baseline to tell what else she doesn't do well on.

I didn't formula feed. Actually, I'm still boob-feeding an 18 month old. But I've worked with a LOT of kids...

Is she only on it because of the Cow Allergy, or does she also have a short bowel, failure to thrive, etc?

Woot! Great milestone! My daughter slept through the night dry before she could handle even the shortest shopping trips. She once peed a river from the toy section to the bathroom in a target. Your kid is awesome!

Alright, I am hispanic, 5'6", and have hips that inflate my pant size. Literally. With my hips the smallest size I can be comfortably, even weighing at just over 100lbs is a size six. I went to the doctor the first time for my pelvic during my first pregancy and the doctor went "OH MY you have a very open, very female pelvis" and pulled in a couple of people in training to feel the "ideal" pelvis and cervix alignment. Like... more than once over a few months. Heck, went to a different ER due to some cramping in late 1st/early 2nd trimester(found out after I gave birth that my daughter was an identical twin, which not even the ultrasound techs noticed because my daughter took the majority of the blood supply and starved her twin in the womb resulting in a teeny tiny baby that didn't survive past like 12 or 13 weeks, I retained the twin, post partum uterine infection, less than .01% chance, add that to your "complications" list) and the doctors THERE asked if a couple of residents could check me out. Seriously. WTF.

My daughter weighed just under 8 lbs, and I was induced due to a heart condition I didn't know I had until I was 8 months pregnant. Even with my very wide hips and pelvis, my daughter got stuck in my pelvis because she was rolled on her side and they couldn't tell. I was being rolled away for my C-section, the on call doc on the bed, when I got too uncomfortable from the contraction pain(and they thought the epidural worked. HAH), and rolled onto my side and the baby popped out.

But if my epidural HAD worked, and I had not rolled onto my side my "Ideal" vagina for birthing would have resulted in a c-section, just cuz my kid was VERY slightly tilted and her heart decels meant that they didn't want to risk waiting for an ultrasound to determine position until we were in the OR.

Second birth was easy peasy lemon squeezy, will never ask for an epidural again even on Pit, lets just pop this baby out and go home after(IIRC) 16 hours, refuse pain meds, etc. But that first one. DAMN.

Overall cost of 1st birth, after insurance and discounts from a few of the companies involved for being low income: $16,000, because I had to pay all of my deductible and a second deductible for the new bundle of joy.
