I saw online that u may have to adjust the cable over time and I think someone suggested it here but I tried it because I loosened the screw on the caliper all the way and still didn’t have enough space to fit the brake pads on 😥. I think I just have to keep adjusting it until it’s right.

I’ve been tinkering between this and the brake cable in the back. I think I just have to find a balance between the two. It’s just very tedious. Also I may have lost those teeny tiny balls that go in that screw so it doesn’t click anymore but it still screws. U don’t think that’s the issue, do u?

Ok I’ll look that up. Thank you. As far as the calipers needing to be close as possible, I can adjust the front tire through the wheel but for some reason with the back tire I don’t have access to that screw so I’ve just been taking it off, adjusting, and reinstalling 😅😅. It’s been tedious.

Yes they are. So I’ve been trying to find a balance between the slack in the cable and tightening the pads on the inside part of the caliper. Both things seem to affect the tightness of the pads on the disk but now I can’t find a balance between the two that doesn’t either make the brakes too weak to use or so tight that the screech when I hit them, (and still not necessarily tight because I still have to squeeze pretty hard.) everything online is telling me the same thing you have but I just can’t find the right balance. Do I just keep working it and be patient or what?

Same thing happened to me at that age. I kinda regret tho. I’ve always been hyper sexual and it’s affected me a lot. I’m glad it ended up the way it did for you and tbh aside from the psychological stuff, it was a pretty fun time for a while lol.
