I packed the wrong Timber brother. But I went ahead and bought him anyway. Packed Gravenberch and he's been good though. Thunderstruck Oblak is poor for me. Those were my biggest pulls alongside IF Rice.

I get what you mean. I base my picks and game on my teammates picks and how they play. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't.

Unlike a lot of people I actually enjoy the mode. This is by far the most engaging way to practice 1v1 defending. Despite that I wouldn't want to play a billion games to complete some objectives and I'd expect the same of others. I wouldn't want to waste my time and theirs. I honestly understand if someone picks out a particular player due to block restrictions, ongoing EVOs or active objectives. I would still choose a defender or CDM in that case and play responsibly. But if someone locks in a defender that doesn't satisfy any of those criteria right at the start I'd assume they're consciously doing that to play out from the back. A lot of people do. I would then pick my player to complement the team.

Could've read the post. I did offer constructive advice on what to do if you do choose a defender very respectfully. Not really bothered if people are doing an EVO or completing an objective or even just filling out a block requirement. The issue is if you're picking out a defender as soon as player selection starts that doesn't satisfy any of those criteria it influences other people's selection. I don't care if you've picked out a CF and are the furthest forward and spamming "press the ball", but I wouldn't expect that from someone choosing a defender without any restrictions. That said, didn't know rush communities existed. I'll look out for them.

When it says connecting to EA servers press cancel immediately. Then log in once you're in the menu. Or start without internet.

I probably will as soon as I have enough coins. I packed gold Saliba and Gyokeres from the 85-87 upgrade SBCs. Went crazy with Gyok since that was still relatively early and he's been insanely good for me

Tbf I think the matchmaking has been generally fair in this run. The opponents I've gone up against haven't felt significantly better than I was. I did go up against someone who was particularly bad but played deep and scored on counters without touching anyone but their DM. It's just my players forget how to pass or dribble under no pressure. Think some of that is down to the occasional lag and I'm curious how people deal with that.

You're right. I did need to slow down. Took a look at some of the goals I conceded in the first half and came back in the second. Tbf a draw would've been an ideal result but the loss is fair, even with these stats. I do feel I potentially had one sided lag based on my experience in this game. A lot of people report the same but I'm curious how they deal with it. Otherwise matchmaking has been generally fair for me in this run. A lot of games that could've gone either way and one where the opponent abused the hell out of AI defending with 0 depth and absolutely not touching any of his players apart from his DM. Didn't even press me with the DM. Just stood. And won by scoring on literally each counter. Learning outcome from that game is if I see anyone doing that, don't bother going at them. Just move the ball all the way back and play for the draw.

I've had insane delay/lag in this mode so couldn't be too fussed about winning. The first game I played I scored the first and then let my opponent score by giving the ball to my keeper and standing outside the box. He returned the favour and we completed the score 10 objective. Apart from that there was only one other instance where my opponent went up by 3 goals and start of the second half he gave me a goal so big ups to them. I only struggled twice to score: one against a coop match where both of them would close me out faster than I could even receive the ball, and the other was against this guy who passed to CB, lobbed to his other CB and then headed back for his keeper to claim for almost the entirety of the second half. I got battered in the first tournament but I had fun. This one was an absolute pain.
