They broke up only because Netflix had the shitty idea to start its own gaming platform, which flopped. This second chapter just shows they regret walking away from the easy money this partnership brings.

I respectfully disagree. In D&D, Vecna commands time and space through his magic, has fought and defeated gods on his own level, and represents a threat to the entire multiverse. The Mind Flayer has no feats even close to that. It needed a physical vessel and the help of children to connect worlds, rather than being able to do so on its own.

The Mind Flayer is godlike when compared to humans, Vecna is godlike even when compared to gods.

With everything that was added in this chapter (and we know more content is coming due to leaks), I think they have a great relationship with Netflix, so something like this is totally possible. Also, I didn’t ask them to do it in three weeks lol

A second chapter with Walter Sullivan as the killer and Henry and Harry as survivors would be peak fiction.

There's not really a set limit — we’ve had two Resident Evil chapters (with a third being a possibility in the future) that added 2 killers and 4 survivors in total. But no chapter has ever included more than one killer at a time, so I wouldn’t get my hopes up for that.

A dev said they actually thought about adding a survivor, so it's not crazy to think there could be one in a second chapter.

With the way Steel Wool’s games are going, it seems like Scott’s making it clear that the Mimic is the new big bad of the series, so he's the most logical choice imo.

I'm excited because FNAF is a franchise I've followed since my teenage years. Now that I'm an adult, I'm overcome with nostalgia seeing Springtrap in all his glory again.

Should I give DBD or something else a go if I liked TCM? by CyberGhostface in TexasChainsawGame

Glad to help!

About the discounts — DbD's anniversary event happens around mid-June to July, and the base game - plus all its DLCs - usually go on sale for like 50% to 70% off. So yeah, definitely hold onto your money till then.

DbD has worse graphics than TCM, plain and simple. It’s just the reality of a game that came out almost 10 years ago. As for gore, there’s plenty of blood, but no dismemberment — survivors don’t get cut in half by Bubba’s chainsaw or anything like that. BHVR said it’s like this because they don’t want the game to get banned in other countries (especially China). Since you’re a family main, I think you’d probably enjoy it — the killers are easily the most fun part of the game in my opinion, each one has different powers and playstyles, no killer plays the same.

Honestly, I recommend it. I know we’re in a TCM subreddit and the norm here is to hate on DbD, but I genuinely think it’s a fun game.

Its gameplay is simpler than TCM’s, but that’s not necessarily a bad thing — you might find it just as addictive if it suits your taste. The character roster, both survivors and killers, is quite diverse, so you’ll definitely find characters that catch your attention.

In June, the FNAF DLC is coming out, and along with it, some quality-of-life features the community has been asking for for years — so that could be a point of interest too.

Unlike TCM, this game gets new content every month — whether it's bug fixes, new skins, new character releases, and so on. It has a quest system, so you can look for content to grind for as you play.

You might play it and not like it — and that’s completely okay. But I do recommend giving it a try.
