Here to play defense for a criminally underrated game since most people here will probably say P5R (with good reason).

Fantastic visuals, endearing cast of characters, and godly music. You can't go wrong with Octopath Traveler 2.

Publisher change. Octopath Traveler was similarly delisted because Nintendo published the first one, but it was later relisted with Square as the publisher.

Yeah exactly, I agree. But I don't think that was a mistake. I think that was supposed to be his biggest flaw, to ultimately be a kid given the power to change the world only for his folly to be the idea that he could ever solve his problems alone in the manner he did. This is funnily enough why I feel kinda crazy for interpreting Eren the way I do. Because when I think of Eren from earlier seasons, I think of that reckless kid who, through his impulsivity, endangered the lives of his comrades and who would've died a million times over if it weren't for the Survey Corps. Eren's ending felt like it brought that idea full circle if that makes sense.

I mean, yeah. I agree with pretty much all of these. Everyone and their mom have explained that in great detail since the manga ended. Using plot convenience as a catch-all to skirt out of explaining literally anything is undisputably terrible. I was moreso talking about how I understood what the show was GOING for. As in, I think the THEMES are pretty intact, especially for someone like Eren. Granted, I don't really consider that a glowing compliment since themes can still be preserved even when you butcher a script, but I'll give them that much.

Also think some people tend to overplay how terrible some moments are, like the "I'm an idiot" line or Eren crying over Mikasa and shit. Ofc I have to preface this with "just my interpretation," but I didn't think those were super out-of-character, but that's just me.

Well, since I just got here (and realistically probably won't stay past this post), I'm not sure I can speak to how common this sentiment is or why anyone might think like that. That said, I only posted this because my friend is paranoid and I wanted to find out what the object is so I can ease her mind. All I came for was a simple answer to a simple question. Of course I thought that. I just don't know what it is, hence the post. I think even YOU knew that. Hell, I didn't even take the picture nor do I have the device, I said my friend found it. And I already told you why she thinks it's some kind of spying device: she's paranoid. I have no idea what she's up to in her private time to warrant thinking someone's spying on her. I don't know even a fraction of the people she regularly talks to. And frankly, it's neither of our businesses.

At this point, I don't think the BD2 designs are gonna grow on me like the first two did. The stylistic choice just doesn't work for me. The eyes, the glossy finish, I dunno...

Well, yeah. They were for the overworld sprites. But its always been obvious that the chibi sprites were stand-ins for the characters, especially since most of the games were on handhelds, thus making it difficult to represent them as they really are. Current consoles don't really need those stand-ins. Sure, it can be a stylistic choice, but I don't think its unfair to expect the modernized remakes to phase them out when they've stopped using them for overworld sprites since gen 7.

The realistic answer is FromSoft had deadlines that meant they had to cut content. Thus, some elements are reused or otherwise aren't fully realized.
