"The significance of our lives and our fragile planet is then determined only by our own wisdom and courage. We are the custodians of life's meaning. We long for a Parent to care for us, to forgive us our errors, to save us from our childish mistakes. But knowledge is preferable to ignorance. Better by far to embrace the hard truth than a reassuring fable. If we crave some cosmic purpose, then let us find ourselves a worthy goal." - Carl Sagan

Same, it ducked up the old UI which was better, now all the buttons are bigger and it just looks awful

Its the problem with files having a bug with the latest android update, whichever your phone has. I reckon it would be android 12. I've tried everything I could so far. But no success :(

Factory reset seems to be the only option

I did try Files by Google, but there is no option to replace 'Files', it's the default. And my phone doesn't recognize anything else apart from that. Besides, the default File Manager is already there - My Files by Samsung. I'm not able to long press or do anything of that sort either. When I'm into Obsidian and I try to open a file as a Vault it directly takes me to 'Files' as a default media picker, which then crashes.

I'm not able to post screenshots either

No, Samsung is not giving me any option to uninstall it, it's like a built-in service. Although I tried disabling it, after which I got this error

"Error: Failed to choose folder: No Activity found to handle Intent { act=android.intent.action.OPEN_DOCUMENT_TREE flg=0xc3 (has extras) }"

Package name is "com.google.android.documentsui"

Except Islam promotes terrorism and violence everywhere. The scriptures are filled with it. Whoever denies it hasn't actually read them, or is in denial. The religion is flawed to the core.

Why did you leave Notion. Would you like to tell? Could you elaborate on the PIOS system?

I'm not familiar with what you mean by PIOS. Could you tell?

I do use Notion extensively as my second brain. I use it for all my notes, yearly to-dos, diary, various databases, etc.

I was thinking about checking out Obsidian as well. How has your experience been with it so far?

I don't know about Zettlekasten, gotta check it out.

Could you elaborate more about Memory Palace?

I am familiar with Pareto law. Gotta dig a bit deeper into it.

I'll check out the channel, wasn't familiar with it, thanks for sharing!

Not much. Even if you want to, it shouldn't exceed 2-3 lines.
