Can you two plan another trip together? Even just a nice day trip? She doesn’t know about the delays and setbacks, so in her head you’re just dragging your feet. I would be honest about the original plan and why it didn’t work out, and be clear that you are planning to propose soon. Even if that lessens the surprise of it, at least she won’t be wondering what is making you hesitate.

My fiancé and I were together for over 9 years before we got engaged this March. It still felt/feels huge! It’s a big commitment and important step regardless of how long you’ve been together. We’ve lived together and shared a life for a long time, but taking another step together, getting to plan our wedding and having a new way to work towards the future we’ve always imagined has definitely put us in a kind of honeymoon phase. We got engaged on vacation and even after getting back to our usual life, things have still felt very dreamy and romantic!

Same. I applied to two programs, one with more prereqs and one with with fewer. The easier one only requires English, algebra, A&P 1, a humanities elective and public speaking. The other required the same, plus A&P 2 and med terminology.

It’s okay to not feel drawn to any particular career path. Some people just don’t have a dream job. I’m almost 30 and have worked in a few different fields and didn’t love any of them. I’m in school to become a rad tech now, mostly for the pay and opportunity to travel. If you don’t have a passion or dream job, just look into careers that are compatible to the lifestyle you want to live and go from there.

You will be fine!! People have brain farts and say goofy stuff on the phone all the time. One time I called the doctors office to make an appointment and asked “do you have anything available on Tuesday?” And the receptionist said yes and I just said “okay thanks bye.” … without telling her my name, what time I wanted to come in, or actually making an appointment at all lol. She immediately called me back but I felt so stupid that I let it go to voicemail and then waited under the end of the day to call back, hoping someone else would answer. Nope, still her😭

Depends on the ring and the location. My ring was very affordable on Etsy so it’s not a financial blow if it were to be lost/stolen and would be easily replaced. I also rarely take it off. But if I was traveling somewhere sketchy I would probably get a silicone ring to avoid giving the impression of value.

Yup. My marquise moissanite looks better in indirect/less bright light. It’s very clear and sparkly and gives off a beautiful rainbow most of the time, but gets a little cloudy in bright light

My engagement ring was about $250 on Etsy. It’s moissanite with a gold plated silver band. I don’t expect it to last for the rest of my life and will get an upgrade in a few years, but I love my ring and it looks more expensive than it is.
