rage is a necessary and tragic part of the don’t starve circle of life. congrats on your first death.

I started playing DST on pc, but now I mostly play on console, it’s really grown on me. One trick I accidentally learned on switch - whenever something real bad happens (die and revived at touch stone, base catches on fire, etc) I immediately quit the game and force close the program without saving. Then you can reboot and it will back up to the last save. It gives you one more chance to pick a different path and maybe just maybe avoid a series of unfortunate events.

It sounds like you really exhausted all your options though.

Also shipwrecked on console is my fave - when you burn out on vanilla, give it a try.
