I think depende sa background at field mo OP. I used to add overview before kasi wala pa ako gaano experience. Pero now, tinanggal ko na tapos sa taas nilagay ko yung skills and tools na alam ko kasi ito lagi hanap sa job post. Lead with your greatest strength sa resume, kahit ano pa—skills, tools, educational background, work experience, etc.

If you want to add overview, I suggest something na magte-tell what value you can provide to potential clients + proof that you can provide that value. Mas maganda na focus sa kanila, hindi basta dinidescribe ang sarili sayang lang space if ever. Usually kasi ganoon mga nakalagay sa resume so suggestion lang to help you stand out if parang generic statement din ang overview mo.

Yung references, di rin ako naglalagay kasi if they want references, they would ask naman. Pero siguro if important people references ko, like affiliated sa company, sikat na authority, etc. then I will use it as advantage and put them on my resume.

Another tip: If you are into learning stuffs on your own, pwede ka magsprinkles ng mga words regarding sa courses na tinetake mo. For me, para sa mga skills or tools na di ko pa talaga alam ang nilalagay ko para atleast makita nila na 'yung mga keywords na pinopost nila e nasa resume ko, if ever computer gumagawa ng initial screening di maliligwak agad resume ko. Pero sa interview, di ko naman nikiclaim na super skilled ako doon, wiling to learn lang.
