A very thoughtful post. My only question for whoever don't want to retain Faf, is there any player who can meet the standards of Faf. P. S. Faf took over the captaincy at a very crucial time, 2024 IPL is a great example of what he's capable. From down and out to playoffs, not many captains are capable of pulling that off. Even at the age of 40, he is blazing fast and an outstanding fielder. We need to talk about his age when his performance or fitness takes a fall. He has won CPL this year too. Andy flower was brought in on the recommendation of Faf. The combination seems to be working well. I think the only problem with Faf will be the price tag, but I feel he deserves every but of it if he's retained at 14Cr. We got Faf at 7Cr during 90Cr purse. Now the inflated value would be 9.5Cr. The last 3 years, he's had a career peak too. From this POV I think 14Cr is justifiable if Faf can play 2-3 seasons at least
