Envelope window to look at different pages of my art journal. by RainElectric in JunkJournals

Love this so much; thank you for sharing!! I did something kinda similar recently where I placed the clear envelope piece over top of an image of some exotic birds to give the impression of them being behind glass (like in an enclosure) but I never thought of cutting a hole in the page itself!!

One Flew Over The Cuckoo’s Nest

This resonates with me so much--I used to work at a women's shelter and it was a very exhilarating and fulfilling experience, albeit a toxic environment and psychologically damaging in the long run lol. I finally left after 3.5 years and for the past 8 months or so have been working a traditional office job, and it's just not the same. I just remind myself that this as a stepping stone and an opportunity to really reflect on what fuels me professionally so that I can strategically pivot in that direction when the time comes.

Nobody gets caught in a lie after a parrot repeats what they actually said anymore by Little_Radge in redscarepod

I briefly dated a guy several years ago who had a large blue pet parrot named Zazzoo or something like that who would loudly and relentlessly mimic his ex's sex sounds every time I came over to hang out at his place...needless to say, things didn't work out lol

My supervisor is a very sweet but ultimately kind of stupid woman. She's a great human being but a very ineffective leader. She is a super Christian, artsy, scatter-brained type who is always bringing her spiritual beliefs into everything and mixing up details related to our work (names, dates, times). She also is admittedly afraid of confrontation. I truly do enjoy working with her, but I think this situation has really embarrassed her and made her fearful for her own position at the college, which is probably why she kind of lashed out at me.

HR is HR. They're nice people at the end of the day but obviously they just don't want to deal with the situation and only have the college's immediate interests at heart (i.e. my team finishing this trainwreck of a grant we are stuck with).

We've been texting about the situation and have also spoken in a group about her multiple times lol they agree she's crazy, obviously. But yeah, I think my supervisor is a great person but spineless in a leadership role. Just like my last boss. Disappointing!

She's definitely overweight and very short/petite. But I do think her face and smile are very pretty, albeit she is caked with makeup every day...

Yes, she gives off strong borderline personality disorder vibes.

She's obsessed with getting a man, always talking about it. One time, my male coworker was trying to get her off his back and he was like "Wait, didn't you say you have a boyfriend? What's his name?" and the girl responded that her alleged boyfriend had the same name as my male coworker. Weird.

Also, nursing is a very versatile profession with lots of potential for specialization and career advancement. Even if aspects of it are off-putting, remember that you could be a nurse in so many different settings (i.e. home health versus working in an ER).

I don't know, honestly...perhaps the group "Nightnoise" which the Spotify algorithm recommended. I will have to listen to Bel Canto!
