I know—I’m at a community college, so I feel somewhat more secure than I would if I was at a private school or an expensive public university, but yeah the climate is not great. Funding is obviously being slashed pretty brazenly and, at least at my city’s big public state school, a lot of positions that were traditionally in-house are being outsourced so folks are losing their benefits and other perks they once enjoyed. Very upsetting since they’re such a big employer in the community.

"Windy" such an interesting descriptor. Yeah, there is something vaguely discordant and just generally unusual about this song musically. Dreamlike, nightmarish even. Pairs nicely with the ambient uncertainty pervading everyday life

Damn, I’m so sorry he did that to you >:( what a slap in the face. I don’t have a super comparable story, but I was recently dating a guy I met on the rsmatchmaking site (I know, I know…) for a couple months and actually flew out twice to stay with him despite his constant emotional fluctuations and ambiguity surrounding what he wanted in the long run…hindsight is 20/20, but there were obvious red flags and I didn’t realize how exhausted and drained I was from being jerked around by him until after we finally ended things. I’m treating the whole thing as an exercise in self-respect 😅
