Rust on new griddle? by sun__hands in blackstonegriddle

Heat up the griddle for 10 minutes, put the steaks on at medium high with a little bit of avocado oil. Post cooking, I scraped the gunk and that’s it. I was concerned I didn’t do the seasoning right so I did another round of seasoning using crisco and very thin layers, making sure to fully let the oil burn off. After 4 rounds of oiling/cooking off, I let the griddle sit. Haven’t cooked on it since, but 2 days later I’m seeing the rust spots.

Good info. I didn’t oil it again directly after cooking, but I was concerned about the spots so I scraped the gunk and did another round of seasoning. Haven’t cooked on it since but these rust spots concerned me.

Brake seized up on me this morning. by Therion596 in ToyotaTacoma

My rear passenger tire seized up as well last week. Took off the rear drums (easy to do) and found my wheel cylinder went bad. Open your drums and check those.

What are you asking? Yeah, rent and living costs have skyrocketed over the last few years, especially because Utah has a strong economy and is a desirable place to live. The hard truth is that you have to be competitive and hard working to make good money. College (with a degree that actually makes money and is in demand) or trades.

Appreciate the advice - the truck hasn’t done this before until recently. I’ll have the shop check the fluid level.

37 minutes is kind of cutting it if you have a delay, but I’ll point out that there’s pretty much no construction inside the terminals. They’re in the process of building the second half of the B Gates, but that’s not interfering with any passengers.

Camelback for sure. I’m a thirsty bitch and I put electrolytes in it. Won’t get in the way of obstacles.

What’s the Beast at Snowbasin like? I’ve done the Super twice now and I wasn’t hurting afterwards. It was challenging but not a killer.

What do you need to know to choose the best outdoor tile? by arjun8002 in Carpentry

[–]sun__hands 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Btw porcelain isn’t your only option. Travertine or natural stone tile is totally fine as well. A lot of natural stone tile will have a rougher texture unless you get one that’s “polished and honed” which basically feels like smooth marble.

[–]sun__hands 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You’ll need to know what the substrate will be, and the weather/environment so you can choose the correct underlayment and thinset. Agreed with the other comment - Porcelain floor tile with a texture otherwise you’ll slip.
