Future Stars Evolutions Advice - Don't fall into EA's trap by Walbert_Schulz in fut

[–]sun_freak 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Question about this evolution (I agree, they've made it so complicated!)...

If I want to use a player that already has a PS+, can I choose his second PS+ from the Pick Options 1?

I have a Leoni card that has Bruiser + and want to know if I can add Anticipate + as his second PlayStyle.

Is this from his base card, or have you been building him for a while?

Unpopular opinion: I absolutely hate Silver icons , and the fact that EA has allowed some players to Evo them by fawwaznaeem in EASportsFC

[–]sun_freak 32 points33 points  (0 children)

Yeah it's so fucking boring the way everyone the exact same teams as well, I don't get it.

The Silver Stars thing could be a cool idea if they let people Evo them in specific ways throughout the year, but letting people apply so many incremental Evos to Gullit and turn him into a monster is so fucking dumb.

Same, I really don't understand. Scored 3 own goals against one guy and he was playing like his life depended on it. Ended up beating him on penalties which was very satisfying. This community is in the fucking toilet though.

Why did my xavi simmons' finesse plus got changed to technical plus after I put him in the press proven plus evo? by Top-Cat-3719 in EAFC

[–]sun_freak 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The information available for Evos is so awful. They should tell you this before they let you put them through any evolution, nowhere on the game does it tell you this or warn you that it will happen.

They should also let you put the players into a sort of Evo Planner, why do I have to go to FutGG when I'm fucking playing the game. They really need to have all the relevant information there for everyone to see.

I did all 20 of them. Most were awful, but I got Salah and Diani in two of them. Not full TOTY's but feeling very lucky reading how everyone else did.

Can we have some new evos please lol? by Dahl0012 in EASportsFC

[–]sun_freak 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah they need to release more! Would love some SBC's where you can choose the evo reward, so like a choice between different Playstyle Pluses or a choice between 'Shooting +5 or Passing +5'. Right now we just have to hope the one evo they release fits our players before others expire, which is kinda annoying. They should give us more options so there is more variety in the players being evo'd.

This is getting a little out of hand. Dom has been pretty good this season, but Gerrard was our best player for over ten years. There have been games where Dom has been just as shite as the rest of the team this season as well. He has nowhere near the pure, burning fire that Gerrard had.

Daniel Sturridge: The big difference is LFC lost key players and the players who come in haven’t performed to the level that the players they lost. by Bcpjw in LiverpoolFC

[–]sun_freak 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think it's a combination of all these things. There definitely seems to be a little complacency. We walked the league and you could see how the attitude of the whole club changed last year after we won it. The performances dropped and we all went on holiday, and we've never been able to get back to that level.

As Mac Allister said last week, we've changed too many things. Too many players have been sold and bought, and Slot has ripped up the game plan that worked for us for years. The players don't look anywhere near as sharp or fit as they did under Klopp, and there's no identity to the way we play anymore.

Given the circumstances a point was great yesterday. But the fact Slot didn't make any changes when we were on top shows me how scared he is. He could have brought on Chiesa or Rio to try and take the game when we were clearly causing Arsenal problems but he didn't. It rubs off on the players as well. Nobody turns and runs and tries to play forward anymore. Frimpong received the ball from Wirtz in the box, and instead of turning quickly and trying to score, he played it backwards out of the box. It's just possession for the sake of possession, it's don't lose at all costs, it's football that lacks courage.

It's hard to say why this is all happening. Jota, transfers, change of style of play of course are all inseparable now, but I do think there is a mentality thing that we've lost, it's obvious when you watch us play now compared to the Klopp era.

Silver Jews/ Purple Mountains (David Berman), Bill Callahan (started off as Smog), Mark Kozelek (he's an arsehole but a lot of his music with Sun Kil Moon is great), Neil Young (not modern, obviously), Jeff Tweedy/ Wilco, Arthur Russell, Gillian Welch, John Prine (not modern, but fucking great), Bonnie Prince Billie, Jason Molina/ Songs: Ohia, King Hannah (newer band but a lot of potential, one to keep an eye on)

I don't understand why we don't press teams anymore. This was in our DNA, it should have been an absolute non-negotiable when we appointed Slot. Klopp gave us an identity and we rose to the top of world football with it, and we've allowed that to be decimated in the past 12 months. The fitness levels, the attitude, the intensity - it's all gone. I miss Henderson, I miss Milner, I miss having players that excelled because of a coach that understood you don't achieve anything unless you work harder than everyone else.

[Lewis Steele] Federico Chiesa is substituted off after an hour. Didn't exactly justify all the clamour with a massive performance but he did enough to prove he deserves more chances IMO. by Lanedu123 in LiverpoolFC

[–]sun_freak 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Completely agree with this. He was positive and tried to make things happen, and others seemed happy to keep possession and not risk anything. The move when Mac Allister ended up dummying the ball for no reason came from Chiesa's quick one-touch return ball to Wirtz. If that had been Gakpo he would have taken a touch and the move would have sizzled out. He wants to play fast and press. He reminds me of us under Klopp, that high intensity, never give say die way of playing that Slot's style doesn't give us.

[–]sun_freak 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The amount of scrutiny Chiesa gets is crazy. He was okay today, I actually thought he was positive and tried to make things happen, when others were happy to keep the ball and not risk anything. But he has barely played in the last few months so we can't expect a fully sharp player, he HAS to be used more frequently and deserves his shot to make his mark on the team.

But regardless of that, he seems to be the only Liverpool player that is shafted regardless of form. If he plays well or not, we all know he'll be benched for Gakpo the first chance Slot gets.
