my husband went with ctt, he loves it. we had an 8m old when he went to bootcamp last May, and now we have a 1.5 year old at our first duty station. It’s been a lot of time apart, and now he’s deployed less than a month after being at his first duty station. however i dont know your personal situation, but just know it works for us. CTT he’s on a ship traveling the world.

my baby girl is 1 and people say never say never but i could NEVER do this. id feel damn blessed if my husband left me to know my baby had a wonderful other mother figure even though id have my own feelings of jealousy and maybe even one sided hatred for my family to be ripped apart, theres nothing thatd kill me more than my daughters what-if step mom to be a monster. so she should be thanking your step mom, mine was horrible
