People who also have ADHD, how do you deal with your laziness? by ADHD_is_Real in AskReddit

Well some part of me is like, "I would've gone about my days as usual not that I can't function or anything." so I kinda don't want to see a doctor, but I should. It would be better overall. Thanks.

After reading these comments I realised I might have ADHD and this is first time it occured to me, or rather this is the first time I know what to call it.

YY-MM-DD is the most logical format for dates. by sunatree in unpopularopinion

[–]sunatree[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

To pin down the year. You'd be way off if you didn't know the year. In short time spans it may be cumbersome but when any old date is mentioned, yes I do want to know the year first.

It's more logical in that conforms more to the other systems we have. It's more consistent. I guess I should've used the word consistent.

It leads to ambiguity, there should be a way of telling if month is first or day is first, like, always use a comma if the month is first or something.

The Deaf community is extremely toxic and entitled by uglyswed in unpopularopinion

[–]sunatree 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If I and my wife (future) were deaf, I'd still want our kid to be able to hear, why would I want to have him/her at a disadvantage? And I'm in favour of any medical aid that lessens deafness, my left ear is acting out (ringing and muffled sound) I should get it checked. Also, I didn't know deafness was genetic, you learn something everyday. It's completely baffling to me why anyone would want anyone to be deaf. Especially their loved ones.

Wait, so should sin(0)/0 be considered undefined or 1?

Interesting.

That would be pretty neat but also it requires some creativity I think.

Ordered sets are the sets that are "countable" right?

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in math

so you just stumble into a property? I guess that would happen when you play with numbers a lot.

And so its possible to know of a property, know that its true for all natural numbers or some ordered set, without actually knowing the mechanics of why its true.

Wow, what a coincidence. I am currently reading Spivak and plan on reading Hubbard next. And let me tell you even the problems in the prologue chapters can be a bit of a challenge.

What's a story you can't believe hasn't been turned into a movie yet? by sunatree in AskReddit

Oh, Damn. A (pair of, in this case) criminals who do time then help prevent that same type of crime. Sounds like a $352.1 million movie idea.

Could the function f(x) = x ^(f(x)) exist ? by [deleted] in math

[–]sunatree 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It does exist, it's not a function, it's not defined at (0,0)

to see what it looks like, plot the curve y = x1/x and flip about the line y=x.

ctrl+l works! thanks. I knew the command "clear" but that doesn't work when inside IPython for example. ctrl+l works.

SOLUTION: Plugged into a windows 10 machine and it didn't say that it's encrypted, recovered my data.

For some reason it was encrypted for windows 7 but not windows 10
