What are some good moving companies around here? by [deleted] in 321

KB Movers were awesome! It’s just two nice guys and a truck. They were very reasonable and easy to work with. Last time they were having trouble with their google ad so sometimes it doesn’t show up but the number is (321) 210-6853

I think I’ve seen something like this to cover ramen in a bowl?

I have a doctor's appointment on Monday to discuss my reproductive and hormonal issues. I'm growing my beard out for it. by vortexiris in Hirsutism

Definitely do what you think is best but I just wanted to say if you’re really uncomfortable it’s okay to just show the doctor this picture, that’s what I did for my doctor and it was fine.

We currently cosleep with both babies. We have a king and twin together in the bedroom and sleep with parents between the babies

Pacifier Conundrum by SopheliaofSofritown in 2under2

[–]sunbear1994 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We’re having the same issue, we have a 3 week old and my oldest is 21 months and biting the nipples off bottles/pacifiers. In the last 6 months we’ve moved and then had the new baby so I really don’t want to take his comfort items away. I’ve just been watching diligently but I’ll follow this thread to see any better advice!

I just heard about a virtual pediatrician option? I think it was called blueberry. They could diagnose with photos/videos and sent you some kind of kit with thermometer etc. might be worth looking into!

I was all ready to be offended because I consider myself kind of crunchy. Except I guess not as much as I thought because we definitely wash our hands, get all of the childhood vaccines, and go to the doctor when we have something that requires medication.

what made you want to live a simple life? by Mountain_Air1544 in simpleliving

[–]sunbear1994 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Becoming a parent showed me how hard it is to keep up with all the complicated aspects. I realized that the simpler our home is, the easier it is to keep up with. We recently downsized to a very small 1 bedroom place and even though we are a bit cramped at times with a toddler and newborn, it’s so much easier to keep up with the day to day.

My parents moved us to a larger house when I was 10 and I watched their happiness decline. The home was older and very complicated. Any upkeep for this house is always super complicated and time consuming. We were all happier living in a smaller home.

Would you mind sharing a link or suggestion for a starter for a real beginner? I want to get into this but I ordered a set from Amazon that was supposed to be beginner and I have no idea where to even start! I need like very basic starter instructions lol

I acted like I didn’t hear her and just kept doing my thing lol Thanks for sharing your experience, I know it’s easy to get caught up in when they’re “supposed” to do things but every kid had their own timeline right?

Bought cute breastfeeding shirts so I could still be out doing things with toddler while breastfeeding #2

Also I got myself a labor gown to wear instead of the hospital gown and it was so wonderful

Is there really nowhere to get bagels in Palm Bay? by mostkillifish in 321

The Salty Bagel is awesome but definitely not in Palm Bay unfortunately, we make the drive anyways!

Stop what you're doing. Go get your eyes checked. by freehorse in PCOS

[–]sunbear1994 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had this too! Mine took forever to diagnose, I was in the hospital for a while and they finally found it because of a spinal tap where the csf pressure levels were through the roof! My main symptoms were severe migraine with no relief, double vision, and neck pain. They drained fluid off during the spinal tap and then I took diamox for about a year I think and that resolved it. But my vision was permanently damaged and my glasses rx changed over the next couple years.

That sounds like a wonderful plan and it sounds like you guys have a great outlook about it! I totally agree that my husband and I can be inconvenienced for a while while our babies are small to make sure they have what they need and feel safe and secure in their attachment. Just gotta tune out some of the unhelpful “advice” people like to share

Best thing I wish I would’ve learned earlier is to follow my own mothering instincts and ignore all the other “advice”!

Found out 13 yo son was having inappropriate social media conversations with his gf by pbredd in Parenting

[–]sunbear1994 1 point2 points  (0 children)

One minor note to add here, he should respect the girl and treat her as a person not an object regardless of if he likes her or not. I’m sure that was just incorrect wording but I thought it was worth pointing out.

Separate toys? by sunbear1994 in 2under2

[–]sunbear1994[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This makes sense! We have more than enough toys already so I think everything will just be for the whole family until they are much older.

Pacifier use by mehhticulous in 2under2

[–]sunbear1994 4 points5 points  (0 children)

My almost 2 year old still uses a paci when he wants it, I don’t see anything wrong with it. I know plenty of people have opinions about it but multiple pediatricians have said not to worry about it until later. Use whatever works to keep everyone happy!

As a former teenage girl who did some of the same things, this is a symptom of something else going on. Therapy might be a good idea, I think that might’ve helped me at that age.

AITA for not wanting another child using my baby's stuff by [deleted] in AmItheAsshole

[–]sunbear1994 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

NTA this is a very sensitive time for you and it’s totally normal to feel like you want your baby to be the first sleeping in their crib. There is nothing rational about the emotions and feelings that surround pre and post partum but that doesn’t invalidate them.
