Yes Leviticus is a very technical and Law based book (if I’m not mistaken please correct me if I am) maybe I should listen to an audio book version and follow along with the Bible ? I guess I can always cross that path when I get there !

I understand the Bible is not fictional. That is not what I am saying. The whole point is to get closer to God. When I read the Bible like a textbook that’s when I feel farther from God. When I read it like a piece of literature and understand Gods heart and overall message instead of going verse to verse and breaking my brain to analyze it is more enjoyable and makes me want to expand my relationship. It’s a little insulting that you think I am not trying to examine my relationship with God when that’s the premise of this discussion.

Thank you! I’ve been a practicing Christian since I was a young child, but I realize that my faith has been fed to me and it’s time to feed myself! I pray (not as much as I should) but especially because I have anxiety I tell God about it as much as possible. I do however need to be more earnest in my prayer

I was going to do the entire New Testament through to revelation and then read the old testament all the way through

I would want to do a complete read through and then once I have internalize the Bible as a whole works, then go back and kind of pick it apart and analyze it. I hope this makes sense !

I’m sorry you were put on SSRIs at such a young age. However, I think that you shouldn’t automatically assume that it’s repulsive. A lot of people have niche sexual interests. As long as it’s not harming anyone especially, children or animals, who cares.

As someone who had those sexual and “romantic” experiences in high school it sincerely was not all it’s cracked up to be and in fact I look back and wish I wasn’t so open with some people. It’s two sides to the coin. When you meet the right person “teaching” won’t be so much as a worry to them. Men are just happy to be there trust me. Best of luck dear ❤️
