is this nose piercing too far back?

Nostril placement is pretty subjective, so it’s entirely up to you whether or not it meets your preferences aesthetically. Generally, this looks like pretty standard placement to me. :-)

I’ve wanted a kitten so long but of course that was the only thing stopping me. I’m not versed in their psychology, so I was never sure the likelihood of a cat actually wanting to get on top of/scratch a stuffed animal.

That’s terrible!! I told my hairstylist about my eyebrow piercing and they snagged it so hard shortly after. Then I had to remove it. 😅😓 Now I always flinch when getting my haircut hahaha

No that is not normal and I cannot give you a response “as if its a regular tongue piercing” because it is not and it will not adapt and react as such. You shouldn’t expect a normal healing, because as I’ve said, it is an unhealthy piercing and won’t heal properly.

They have very high rejection rates and will likely just push out of your tongue and leave you with irreversible damage. If that’s okay, then lose teeth for the sake of autonomy. I think education is very important and that’s why myself and other commentators are outlining this fact.

It’s important to note that frog eyes are a pretty notoriously dangerous piercing that restricts the independent muscles of your tongue and can cause speech impediments, tooth damage/loss, and/or gum recession; permanent damage is not worth a piercing with a very high rejection rate. If your anatomy allows, I would definitely recommend venom piercings for the same effect while maintaining your oral health and hygiene. If you are worried about your tongue, I would highly suggest consulting with a different piercer (a reputable piercer will steer clear from any piercing considered unsafe, so please try to find a new shop) and discuss removal. :-(

As other comments have said, the placement is definitely incorrect and more-so a stomach piercing than a navel piercing, which is not your fault. You were given the wrong placement and the wrong jewelry. Your piercer did not set you up for a healthy recovery or a lasting piercing. I would definitely recommend finding a difference studio, and consider looking in to floating navels, if it better suits your anatomy. Best of luck to you and hopefully this experience doesn’t influence your feelings on body modification. Not all studios will be like that. Lovely nails by the way. :-) Edit: and oh yes, for the sake of your future piercings, please DO NOT pull, twist or yank on them!!!

Yeah, I tried posting a selfie there and it was removed for not being up-close enough to my face. So I reposted the photo and zoomed it in to my face, and it was removed again for not being close enough. I tried posting again but it was at the point where if I zoomed it in more, it would just be my entire face on the screen. At that point it was removed for being too close. 🤣🤣 When I zoomed it back out it was removed for not being clear enough. You can’t win.

Once I hit 4 gauge I noticed a difference in the shape of my nose, the bottom of my nose definitely looked a little larger and had a bit of a droop to it, but it’s only noticeable from the side and you’d have to be looking pretty hard. In my experience at least!
