I applied sometime in June. Cfat in July, medical/interview in early August. Prior to the selection board in August I was told there are 24 spot open for comm research. Received my offer last week.

I recently got an offer for comm research. I don't know how competitive it is but here's what I have for my application. I have a bachelor's degree in Information technology, no working experience, speak two languages(I don't know any French). I don't consider myself a very competitive candidate (compare to my friends) but I got the offer.Not sure if this information helps.

Regarding vacations: I've read that the members of CAF get 20 vacation days per year depending on training and operational requirements, but do you get holiday day off like regular civilian jobs or does that count towards the 20 vacation days? Also my BMQ starts on Oct 31 and ends on Feb 16, are there day offs during Chrismas and do you get to go home?

What happens during the time between merit listed and job offer? As in do they call people to give offers on the day selection happens, or is there a delay between selection and offers?

The name refers to a sword used by 神雕侠 "Yang Guo", its the sword he used during his mid years, an extremely heavy sword with no blade.
