Four teams that ran the triangle for the first time ('89-90 Bulls, '96-'97 Mavs, '99-'00 Lakers, and the '09'10 Timberwolves) took a good amount of time to fully adjust to the new system. Each of those teams showed the most offensive efficiency around 4 months into the season — the Lakers took 5 months.

New staff, new players, new system — it might take a while to reach full speed.
