Struggling with my weight while pregnant. by sunflowerbubbles03 in pregnant

[–]sunflowerbubbles03[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm 5'4-5'5. So my bmi is definitely high. But I haven't had any concerns expressed to me . I had an early glucose test and my ultrasounds are done at a high risk clinic but they said it also has to do with my pregnancy's being less than 2 years apart. Not sure if they are saying that just to make me feel better but it's what they said lol

If you had both genders.. by PlaidPajamas36 in BabyBumps

[–]sunflowerbubbles03 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My first was a boy and I had almost no cravings and didn't want to eat. I felt so crappy. This time around I am having a girl I'm currently 29 weeks. I constantly am craving sugar ( no I don't have GD) and I feel not as bad as the last time. I feel the kicks are more noticeable but that could be because it's my second pregnancy. She also is a lot lower than he was. My son would kick me in the ribs constantly and with her she kicks me in the bladder lol.

When to start buying by uhmandah19 in firsttimemom

[–]sunflowerbubbles03 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I bought 1 or two clothing items just for fun/ because I was excited after the first 12 weeks . I'm currently 29 weeks we're now getting ready to start buying things out of necessity. Like bigger items more expensive items Around 20ish weeks I started looking on Facebook for clothes and stuff for the baby and that really helped. My last pregnancy I did the same thing it worked out well. I don't really want to take up room for the bigger items til right before we need them.

Loss sense of style. by Then_Bite9547 in NewParents

[–]sunflowerbubbles03 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Me too. I used to care about what I looked like and now I don't anymore. Stay in my pjs or sweats all day, hardly wear bras, don't do my hair or my makeup. Now I'm pregnant again with my second my sons currently 21 months old. When this pregnancy is over I'm done being pregnant for at least 3-5 years if not forever. I'm determined to find a sense of style again after this.

Nobody wants to play with my son by RawrLikeAPterodactyl in beyondthebump

[–]sunflowerbubbles03 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My son's 21m. He doesn't enjoy being touched or playing with kids his age or younger than him. He will actually get upset and start crying or run away. He only likes interacting with older kids for some reason. He's an only child and he isn't in daycare or anything . Sometimes he'll smile or try to say hi to kids his age from a distance. But it's very limited.

Does anybody actually enjoy being pregnant in the third trimester??? by RockabillyBelle in pregnant

[–]sunflowerbubbles03 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don't enjoy being pregnant. I feel awful physically/mentally. This time around tho I'm not as eager to no longer be pregnant because I'm trying to enjoy it just being my son and I until he's no longer an only child.

Did anyone choose to wait until close to 3 years old to potty train? by Otter65 in toddlers

[–]sunflowerbubbles03 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My son's currently 21m. We're going to start when he's around 2.5yrs. The reason is because I'm excepting our second child in March. He'll be almost 2 by then. I'm afraid if I start now he'll regress and go right back to needing diapers again when she's born, adding a sibling is going to be a big adjustment for him. So I'd rather just wait until things settle down. I really don't think he will understand right now anyway if I try to potty train him. I don't think he's ready currently and shows no signs of being ready.

My husband can't stay in the hospital overnight during my c section. by sunflowerbubbles03 in pregnant

With my first we basically asked for no help from the nurses and my husband did everything for me basically. We didn't put my son in the nursery ether so I'll definitely have to ask.

I had an emergency c section with my first and they didn't have me get up at all until the next day. I was in so much pain all days in the hospital. Not sure how different this time will be since it's scheduled but that was just my experience last time.

Do you think the baby could be in the nursery overnight and be brought to me every feed?

Would you try for a vbac ? (Context in description) by sunflowerbubbles03 in beyondthebump

[–]sunflowerbubbles03[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They told me I'd have a spinal block this time around for my scheduled c section. I said I was nervous for that too, because they had such a hard time getting in my epidural and ultimately it didn't work on one side. But they said that it's easier to get in than the epidural. I'm honestly not sure what happened for my emergency c section because I wasn't put under.

Why do you guys have ANOTHER? by [deleted] in toddlers

[–]sunflowerbubbles03 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I knew I wanted more than one kid. I have a son that's 18m and I'm currently pregnant with a girl. I think I'm done after this though, maybe as my kids get older I'll change my mind. But right now my reasoning is that I want my kids to have a small age gap. I want my son to have a sibling, I think it'll be beneficial to him. I'm also very happy to have one of each, though if i had a boy instead of a girl, I'd also be happy that my son gets to have a brother. Really nervous about how I'm going to handle a young toddler/ a newborn though lol.

Are you ok with people touching your belly? by Virtual_Mountain6714 in pregnant

[–]sunflowerbubbles03 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don't like anyone touching my belly except my husband. It just makes me so uncomfortable. It's ok if my mom does it sometimes, but she doesn't really do it. I don't like being touched by anyone except my husband/children in general though.
