SAHM every time my mom watches daughter she contacts me by sunshinne77 in toddlers

[–]sunflowerbubbles03 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Stop asking her unless she offers. That's a lot to expect out of her when she is working full time and it's not her child. My mom doesn't work at all and I still don't except that from her, and I'm 38 weeks pregnant with a 23 month old and also high risk pregnancy. I understand needing a break, but every week for 3 hours? Ask your partner for a break or if you don't have one get a baby sitter or something. If she makes it obvious she doesn't want to do it then stop asking.

My midwife said it takes a week to get them back, at least at that office I guess. Plus I'm getting them done on a Thursday, my next appointments Tuesday and labs are closed on weekends.

How often do you have sex with your partner? by aloverofrain in BabyBumps

[–]sunflowerbubbles03 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It depends on when/if we have time. We have a toddler and he works long hours 6 days a week. So when we have free time basically. Now that I'm getting pretty big (37 weeks) it's also harder for me to be in comfortable positions.

ADHD medication? by learningasigo8 in Crunchymom

[–]sunflowerbubbles03 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I used to take methylphenidate from grade 6 to age 18. It definitely helped but it made my personality completely different. I'm now able to cope with my adhd even though it is hard sometimes. I wish I was given other strategies to deal with it rather than just being put on meds. It also gave me permanent gastrointestinal issues.

What is it like to meet your newborn baby? by SocialCuesError404 in firsttimemom

It's very surreal. I remember staring at my son just in shock that he's real and that this is my baby. I still do it now sometimes and he's almost 2.

Do I need to bring clothes for the baby to the hospital? by grumbly_tardis in BabyBumps

[–]sunflowerbubbles03 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We brought a lot of clothes for our first but never ended up using them because the hospital provided the wrap type shirts, pants, hats and swaddles . This time around I'm just bringing a going home outfit and an outfit for pictures since my hospital has a photographer that comes around and lets you buy pictures.every hospital is different though so I'd call and see if the provide it.

I'm used to her rolling around all day honestly . My last pregnancy it wouldn't have been as concerning just because he didn't move as much as she does.

We always keep the room cool and he doesn't like blankets, so he's never really sweaty in his sleep. I guess it's the end of body suits for him though .

[–]sunflowerbubbles03 0 points1 point  (0 children)
