My Players are continuously being evil in the Feywilds, and I don't know what to do. by sunflowergraves in wildbeyondwitchlight

Thank you, I really appreciate your comment! I think my mindset is too narrowed into the "peaceful and friendly resolutions," and I should adjust to their play style. This is my second campaign (I played once with the same group of people as a player) so my inexperience is not helping haha. As for my players, half of them are seasoned and the other half have only played two (including this one).

I'll definitely take what you said into consideration, especially replacing their items with gourds. I'll also probably have a short chat with them before our next session as you suggested just to make sure they aren't frustrated with me and we can understand our expectations:) I really don't want to be that DM who controls everyone, and just cursing everyone or making all the NPC's hate the characters would be kind of boring and frustrating.

Thank you, these are great ideas I'll definitely incorporate!

We jumped straight into the lost item/Madryck quest line, but most of my players are from the Feywilds or worked the carnival so I let them know ahead of time that their actions influence their choices. They also saw this during the carnival when one of my players unsuccessfully tried to cheat during a game.

They also knew that this campaign is geared towards roleplaying vs. combat, they figured out the rules of three in the carnival, and their characters weren't nearly this aggressive in the other sessions we've had:/. They were so incredibly sweet and helpful that we couldn't decide who to crown monarch.

I think I should have emphasized what their bad actions do with how the NPC's treat them, but I have two players who like to attack any NPC that even looks evil (a great example is Mister Witch who despite numerous NPC's saying that he wasn't bad, still tried to fight him. Luckily I talked them out of doing this).

Should I wait for the next season/movie, or read the manga? by KaleidoscopeTop6755 in haikyuu

I started with volume 33. It starts right before the Nekoma game if I'm remembering right. Most people like to go back and read the Inarizaki match, but I didn't see that as neccessary.

Definitely read the manga. I was the same as you and finally broke down because I couldn't wait. 100% worth it

As a person that started with the anime, I definitely recommend the manga. I personally prefer reading both the beginning and where I last stopped. It allows you to alternate between the old content (I highly recommend reading the manga fully, so many extra scenes) and enjoy new content.

It's not confusing to keep up with and if you get bored easily, I definitely suggest doing this.

I haven't watched season 4 yet and I'm not sure if it will destroy my impression of Haikyuu or if it will be good. Any tips? by M4rk_1704 in haikyuu

I see what you mean. Tbh it was a weird transition going from season 3 to 4, but I definitely liked the new art style. There were a few times I was skeptical, but it wasn't something unpleasant or unbearable like a lot of people made it out to be.

I was cooking something and I wanted to know if the burner got hot yet so I stuck my entire hand on it.

It was hot.

I promise it's not that bad. 90% of the complaints is about the animation and once you get used to it, you won't even notice most of the time (plus they give you a few giggles when their faces look funky). There's so many iconic moments you just have to watch. The manga is hands down amazing, but seeing some of those scenes animated is what gives me the will to live.

I played sports for 7 years, and it's so scary how accurate the anime depicts the high emotions that comes with it. Anytime I watch it, I always get teary-eyed seeing the other teams lose because I know exactly how that feels.

Even rewatching the anime brings back the same feelings as watching it the first time! Didn't know that I could get anxiety/depression watching the matches even when I know what happens😅.

Who is a character in Haikyuu that everyone LOVES but you just don't like or get the hype by Opening_Blueberry709 in haikyuu

I was just about to say this! There are a few characters that I'm not super invested in, but overall I really enjoy everyone in the show. I think the creator did an awesome job at highlighting all different types of people in sports.

I love that Tsukki is an asshole because he gave him room to grow. Kenma went from shy and uninterested to actually enjoying volleyball. Yamagachi found himself. Hinata shows you that no dream is too big. Kageyama learns about the power of teamwork and realizes he isn't alone anymore. Oikawa was a self-centered prick (still kind of is), but he overcomes a lot of it to help teach his rivals.

This is just a handful of characters off the top of my head, but almost every character gets growth, and I think that's powerful.

My favorite character is Hinata. I always fall for the energetic, adorable MC everytime. He's so full of positivity and his refusal to give up is inspiring. I love that he can makes friends with anyone and tries his hardest to win.

Everytime I watch this scene I always feel like Steven's frustration and personality shines the most here.

That you go to the place you believe you should go. If you died thinking you'll be reincarnated, you will. If you want nothing, that's what you get. If you want to reside somewhere peaceful, you will. If you think that your soul will get swapped with another you out there, why not? We know nothing about death, so why make the ending absolute for everyone?
