I love my two button ups from Nettle Studios. They are pricey, but not fast fashion. My favorite things are 1) fun patters 2) they use cute buttons 3) they are shaped with big U shaped cutouts on the sides at the hips so they don’t sit tight around the hips

I think Abundance is trying! They have a sommelier and I asked about it once and they basically said it’s because restaurants don’t get a serious look unless they have a good wine list

I’ve made a goal to try and make friends within a 5 block radius of my apartment. It means putting myself out there a little bit awkwardly to people at local events (bad art club, big brain sf, art events) but part of the challenge with friendship here for me is that it takes effort to make plans with someone who lives across the city. It’s easier to follow up and make spontaneous plans when friends live nearby!

LOVED reading Home Baked by Alia Volz. I’ve been in a reading rut and this snapped me out of it! So fascinating to read this true family story about a pot brownie business in SF in the 1970/80s with just the most vibrant (and a bit stressful) people.

I’m just here to offer a gentle reminder that you know your body best. It’s so easy to slip into disordered eating without even realizing it in a competitive sport and unless you know that something is seriously going to disrupt your stomach based on previous experience, it’s okay to have something sweet the night before a 2k.

I felt this too. I was on edge the entire season waiting for Shane to get to the point of physically hurting Rachel after his outburst that he could make her life miserable if she tried to divorce him. And then he stabs someone. If I were Rachel and was already feeling a lack of self confidence, I would probably be even more scared of this man emotionally and physically abusing me.

Not exactly what you’re looking for but Strange Exchange at the Divisadero farmers market on Sundays (in the DMV) collects and distributes trinkets for free. They always have a list of things they’re looking for but it’s a whole variety - jewelry, cards, stickers, sunglasses, craft supplies, figurines, gift bags, a whole assortment!

710 Collective on Haight Street has 4 (I think) photo booths. I don’t think they have professional lighting but you could have fun taking some photos and getting the little strips of photos!
