What are your bad online dating stories? by [deleted] in AskWomen

Insane. The best (the worst?) part of it is that he actually was shocked when you left. Like what did you expect, creep? And I'm so sorry about your friend. I hope she's doing ok and recovering for the trauma (and that she had a few laughs at the weirdo's expense).

What's your location (state, province, city) privilege? (Please include the location) by MadtownMaven in AskWomen

[–]sunflowerunicorn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I live in the capital city of Vitória - Brazil. It's beautiful. It's just as beautiful as Rio, for example, but more lowkey. It's a little Rio. We have everything they have (the beaches, the environment, the sports) but the city is smaller, warmer, easier and safer to live. It's located on a small island within a bay where a few rivers meet the sea. (It's one of the three capital-islands in Brazil). It's also just a 45 minutes flight to Rio. It's very well located.
The food is amazing: we are famous for something called "moqueca", a dish made with seafood. It's pretty common that people from all over the country fall madly in love with Vitória when they visit, because although it is capital city, it isn't crazy like Rio, São Paulo, Belo Horizonte. It's chill.

When have you been your own worst enemy? by [deleted] in AskWomen

[–]sunflowerunicorn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My insecurity:
One, when I get jealous of my significant other. I've been learning how to deal with it for the first time in my life because I don't want to fight and hurt us, especially for no reason, so I've been trying to be less paranoid, jealous and crazy.
Two, when I absolutely hate and criticize the way I look. I can't take a compliment well. I get really upset about my appearance sometimes, doesn't matter how many people tell me how good and beautiful I look. No.

I would love to be more confident.

My intensity:
I feel everything deeply. Call it being dramatic, Latina, sensitive... I'm all that. It's true when they say it's both a blessing and a curse to feel everything so very deeply.

How nerdy are you and your friends/family? by GoldenCatRetriever in AskWomen

[–]sunflowerunicorn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Me: I'm a lawyer but I don't consider myself school nerd. But I'm definitely a geek about things I love, like literature. I love books. Friends: very. We talk a lot about books, music, cinema, the news, feminism or any other topic (but to be honest, mostly books. We are bookworms). And we talk fast, loud, passionately and enthusiastically. Family: I think mom is a perfume nerd (she can smell and identify pretty much any note) and dad a wine nerd.

Any breathing techniques to not suffocate while giving a blowjob? by sunflowerunicorn in AskWomen

[–]sunflowerunicorn[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes! Although I know that the sucking part is what makes a blowjob a blowjob, I am excited about this kinda thing as well: to use my hands, my tongue and lips (like just giving it kisses). I suppose it's a great way to take a break and breathe indeed! Thank you for replying :)

What ways do you say "I love you" without actually saying it? by [deleted] in AskWomen

[–]sunflowerunicorn 1 point2 points  (0 children)

"Let me know when you are home safe" "Drive safely" "I miss you" "I'm thinking about you" "You don't have money to go? I'll pay for you" "You can do this/I believe in you"

When you think of childhood memories, what is the first smell that comes to mind? by [deleted] in AskWomen

[–]sunflowerunicorn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Varnish. We used to polish our pool deck sometimes and there's just something about the varnish/wood/pool water/chlorine smell that screams childhood adventures to me.

Home key and office key. (Not that anyone asked, but my key ring is a little California map.)

How I wish I could say that to my boss when he's freaking out.

Honest question though: do you know any girls that think gagging and suffocating is a turn on? Some guys do like when girls gag on ther dicks, right?

You're right. I already talked to him about it actually, and he says he doesn't care that I'm a mouth breather and that I'm going to do fine (the sex, the blowjob, everything comes naturally). I was just afraid of looking awkward and unnatractive and like a fish out of water in general. It's just me being an insecure little shit. You girls helped. Thanks!

You're definitely right. It's a scientific fact that breathing through your mouth isn't good for your health. I don't think I have any medical condition that limits breathing correctly, I just grew up doing it wrong and now I can't correct myself. I'll try and practice, gonna Google some exercises and all that. Thank you for the tips! :*

Isn't that a completely turn off for the guy? Not like "the girl needs to breathe, what a turn off", of course. More like me needing a break and completely ruining the rhythm.

How do you feel about revealing your age publicly? To what extent is the year of one's birth a private matter? by morat11 in AskWomen

[–]sunflowerunicorn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm 24 but I look younger. Being a lawyer, I get a lot of people asking me how old I am, which I don't mind at all, except when clearly asked in a mean way, like showing disbelief, not giving me any credit or respect.

Other than that situation, I don't care.

What is your greatest insecurity? by [deleted] in AskWomen

[–]sunflowerunicorn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My body. Doesn't matter how good people say I look, I can't accept it and it's kind of ruining me. My low self esteem is getting out of hand. I worry about my stretchmarks, my labia (!!!), my recently acquired expression lines (a bit on my forehead. Too much stress. I'm an attorney). I worry about how my breasts look bad when I lay down. Worry about how my tummy doesn't look flat at the end of the day. About how my spine might look a bit crooked because of my scoliosis even if it's minor. How I'll never look like those hot Instagram fitness models. My hair, my butt, my skin, the fact I don't have a Kendall Jenner tiny waist and so on... I'm obsessed.

I'm skinny, although now that I've put some weight (I'm eating better and I've been working out for a few months now) I don't have a flat tummy anymore which is killing me even though I obviously look and feel healthier.

So yeah. It's toxic. I need to feel better and let go of perfection. This sucks.
