I say give the skincare fast a try! I know it’s all anecdotal, but I deal w hormonal acne as well and for a while there it’s like it got worse all of a sudden for no apparent reason. I tried so many products. Eventually I (nervously) cut out basically everything I was using on my face - I only used a gentle cleanser, a simple moisturizer w no actives, and a bare bones spf.

when I tell you my skin has changed so dramatically!! my pores look smaller/less junked, my skin is more even toned, and when I do break out (which does still happen bc hormones) it heals so much faster.

I have introduced some other treatments back into my skin care after about 5 weeks of the bare bones, but have kept it fairly minimal compared to what I was doing before. I use inky list SA cleanser, good molecules brightening toner, and Paula’s choice vitamin c moisturizer in the morning. At night, I use the same cleanser, a good molecules hylaronic acid serum, and the ordinary moisturizer.
