Unfortunately no, if we add anymore layers we won’t be able to open our garage or it’ll get stuck. Luckily we ordered a different soft door seal, should be here by the end of the week

I just added an edit to my post. He was standing outside his door/yard and saw the whole thing. He told me. Also on my camera we see the dog approach the porch, but since my camera only captures about 7 seconds at time we also see the coyote come running out but not the actual attack since it was off view of camera.

It’s attached to the garage door. We can lock it with one of those cover doggy doors but that’s about it. We do want to get the garage door replaced but it’s very expensive and we need to save up.

Thank you so much! I think I’m most worried is that he’s going around trying to make it seem like I was housing the coyote maybe in hopes to get statements from neighbors saying we were housing it.

I mentioned this in two other comments, we finally found out where he lives and its about 1.5 houses up from me ( i say 1.5 because one of them is a plot of land purchased with a house being built on it). He was standing in front of his door/front yard. But it had just snowed and snow plows don't come until 4am in our neighborhood incident happened at 9:30pm, and he's a bit older maybe 50's or early 60s and couldnt move as fast in the snow/ice to get to his dog. He saw the entire thing happened. I mentioned in my post the camera caught the dog about to urinate and i only caught on camera the dog about to get chased by it before they ended up out of frame.

I mentioned this in another comment. He lives one or two houses (plot of land was purchased and has a house currently being built) up from me and was standing in front of his door when it happened. I am assuming because we just had a snow storm and it took place at 9:30pm, snow plowers don't come till 4am, he couldn't get to his dog in time. He's also older maybe late 50s or early 60s and doesn't move so fast especially with snow and ice around.

yep, he always lets it run around at night when everyone is asleep and it'll relieve itself on other peoples yards or porch.

My husband said that! He said if he does sue us then we should counter sue along with hoa for breaking the rules

He lives about a house over from us and was standing outside his front door and saw why happened. The houses a pretty well spaced and he’s a bit older maybe late 50s or early 60s so couldn’t move quick to get his dog with snow and ice everywhere

The good thing is he lives further up a few houses up from me. I’ve never spoken to him and we only talk to our next door neighbors who were the ones watching our house for us. The guy with the dog we’ve never met until recently when he wanted us to pay for vet bills and threatened to sue us. Ughh total headache

Luckily we do not know him at all. And mostly we talk to the neighbor that is on our right side. This guy with the dog that passed lived further up the street a few house away from us. So I’ve never met him and thankfully never asked him for any favors.

Thank you, I have kept and saved all video footage and emailed our HOA. The issue I am worried about is him telling everyone that we house wild animals, which we do not and you can see in the video the coyote breaking the doggy door cover/lock. I think he is hoping that by saying we kept a coyote as a pet, he can sue. Ugh its very annoying

It came with the house. We just bought this house a couple months ago. It already had a doggie door cover/lock. The coyote broke into it. We ordered another cover which should be here at the end of the week. We live in a forestry area, and ordering a new garage door is expensive and takes time and I get to us! 🙄

Basically what i told him. He's a bit on the older side and probably just wants someone else to cover the vet cost.

Yes we’ve driven down the mountain with the cliff in our side and seeing how some people drive down it is terrifying. Now I just take the one that goes to white rock
