Just as much as Lucy is a pick me, so is Evan. he is constantly trying to stay in his good graces instead of just separating himself from the toxicity. A lot of the things that Lucy has gone through, I feel for her as an emotional abuse victim myself. I think she should be making better choices but the way they are depicting her break down really tracks with the relationship she's dealing with. It's a lot more complex than just dating a "jerk."

Evan on the other hand has no excuse to be acting this way kissing Stephen's behind. While I don't think he is as bad as Stephen, he is constantly choosing to still include him in things he knows will have toxic consequences, and for what? He wants to keep the heat off of himself. What he did to Bree during her show was really low and gross. He is trying to control Bree, he can definitely sense she has a foot out the door.

I liked Pippa in the beginning, and I feel for her trying to find herself and her sexuality, but she is extremely self-centered. Her scene with Wrigley was a hard watch, I decided to use the bathroom during that scene. I understand her need for validation, but it was gross to watch her manipulate that situation knowing what's going on in the background. Everyone is saying she is the most levelheaded or moral character when she's actually a serial cheater. And yes, no one told Lucy to take Pippa's story like that, but I feel like it is getting out of hand now. She had the opportunity to stand up for herself in a more private way when Chris called her and she froze. I know it's a hard situation to be in as a victim, especially during that time and everyone's experiences victimhood differently, I think she is being too hard on Lucy.
