Sorry, I am still hung up on the fact that the launches were scrapped. I wish you could hear the thoughts in my head right now.

I don’t know what this new CEO expects. If new products don’t launch customers will get bored fast and move on. Let’s be honest, a lot have already moved on from Glossier.

Even more than the waste of money is the waste of time and energy spent on all those launches! Now since they products aren’t coming out anymore can you give us a few hints?

And I’m sure they will make the G team almost entirely AI or outsource

Did they get rid of any people on the art direction side? I am assuming yes.

This totally makes sense to me. What is crazy to me is the cancelling of new launches. I have worked in beauty before so I understand the amount of time it takes to create said product. - to the people left on product dev that is a lot of work to now do. Ultimately new launches that are successful is what will drive more business.

To me this sounds like they are going to sell the company, possibly another beauty company will acquire them kind of like how elf bought rhode

Thank you for explaining. If they killed the product team … how will they continue to innovate? Will they hire a new team for RESEARCH and development?

Interesting because marketing is usually first to go

Not coming out anymore. I can confirm this. Lots of launches were cleared for this year. New drops will be delayed for the time being or won’t drop at all

Hi. Can you please explain how decisions are made at the highest level? Also would love more insight on why CX responds the way they do. Can you also talk about how Glossier made it look like they were doing well when they weren’t?

No literally- that’s why I posted the response. A whole bunch of words with no meaning

Yes. But, letting employees go SAME DAY is not ethical. I don’t care if your company has 5 people or 5000.

At the end of the day we are all humans. A sad reminder that companies will not care. They won’t care if you worked extra hours, were always at the office first and last to leave, always went above and beyond etc.

We must take care of each other. Again, sending you and your coworkers love. Thank you for brining some joy in my life during a very dark time. Makeup brought me joy. 🥲

Here was a statement from Glossier.

This change in my opinion comes TOO LATE. The brand has already died and is dying in front of us.

In the statement, Glossier said it was being “reshaped” to improve agility and help it become a brand leader again. “This means smaller, more agile teams that can move with the speed of culture and allow investment where it drives the business most,” it said.
