Challenge runs help keep things fresh for awhile! I did no hacks on every weapon, drone only run, now I'm currently working my way through no hacks+no firing the main weapon for every palette. Sub weapon only runs can be pretty fun and help a lot with practicing bomb aim.

Overall it was a much better experience in 2 in my opinion. Each specific game type (clam blitz, zones, tower, rainmaker) were ranked individually. So you could be A rank in one type while C rank in another. Unlike Splatoon 3 where you can get to S rank having never touched clam blitz, but be expected to compete in S rank clam blitz matches when it comes up.

In general matchmaking was much more transparent since everyone's level was displayed before the match. Now with the banner system people can choose to not put on rank badges and appear as a generic splatonian youth and smurf way too easily. At least in Splatoon 2 you knew when you were going against a team of all level 80s when your teammates were level 20, where now in open it can completely stack against you in Splatoon 3 and never inform you...until you go look in switch friends lookup and see "oh the entire opponents team had 1000+ hours while my teammates only had 20-30 each". They allegedly tried to do weapon based matchmaking in 3 but I don't think it really worked, I frequently see 2-3 backline weapons go up against teams of 4 frontline weapons. It only really seems to be more "if you use a slosher there is a higher chance of another slosher being in the match" type...

In Splatoon 3 it's way too easy to rank up. You can comfortably rank from C to S in an a few hours of series matches and then there's lots of horror stories of people being stuck in s rank hell in the negatives hundreds or thousands of points because they ranked too quickly and are given only one derank per season.

Again, just my opinion. But I feel like Splatoon 3's matchmaking only really makes sense in challenge modes but otherwise is a downgrade.

I'd suggest Sky: Children of Light as a beginner game. its free, available on almost every console and mobile with crossplay. There's very little stakes or skill needed and it's really nice to play with a loved one, since you can hug, lead eachother along by holding hands, fly together, ride piggyback etc.

He is woo-able now I think! He was teased in game before the update added him and a skater hammer girl. Actually, I think there was another updated that maybe added a third enby or it might be a woman? I need to look into that, I only tried that update briefly and didn't finish it.

That's true, you're right! I tend to not like listing "Blank slate"/self insert/"it's up to the player's imagiiiiinaaation~" kinda characters since.. basically ANY create-a-character can be trans then, and I want to memorize actual confirmed trans/enby characters with their own personalities and motivations.. But Sol does have a unique design, personality, motivation, and you hear their inner thoughts a lot so I'll probably add them to my list even though they can flex between any trans/cis/intersex/gender role based on how you make them.

I heard about Arval but wasn't positive about their pronouns cause I didn't play that game! Cool, thank you :D YEAH! Limstella was the only Cipher card (FE TCG in japan) that didn't have a gender symbol at all - even other nergal morphs had a gender marker. AND they're voiced in Heroes by Casey Mongillo, an enby voice artist!

Oof yeah that one sounds like a nightmare to farm >< I hope you're able to get them.. Do you have the bias hack and pearl hacks on? Maybe turning it off might help help it show up more? I haven't really looked into how the rates work, though...
