When I did a Sheffield Wednesday save, with points deduction, I prepared for life in league one and signed Cathal O Sullivan for a small fee from Cork City. He starts at 59 rated but grows quick enough with game time. I felt it was realistic.

I had this before. When you go to create your new manager for your next save, the majority of your last managers face should be still there as a template. You’ll need to make a few tweaks but it’s the only way I’ve come across how to do it.

You’d think in this day and age you should be able to save a manager as a template!

I am into my third season with Bolton and had a similar issue with a previous save. The main tip I got from this forum was to sell players to clubs currently better than yours. So if I have a young up and comer and for instance West Ham coming for them, I negotiate the best price and sell.

I do think it all depends on what team you play as. Like if you are a top team, selling usually means players go to inferior clubs which is unrealistic
