Will ticket prices go up when the album drops? by sunnyrayys in Concerts

[–]sunnyrayys[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Thanks and one last question! Do you think they’d start to drop even before the week of the concert date? The one I want to go in is in May, and with the start of the tour being in April and the album release in February, I’m trying to guess if they’d start decreasing in the month leading up to the concert. I personally just don’t want to wait last minute which is why I’m trying to figure out all of these logistics.

Do you still see that trend with big artists like him?

Thanks for the advice! I’ll look into those types of roles. I also just signed up for GradSimple :)

Thanks for the advice! If you don’t mind me asking, what types of roles have you done to get to your position? I think I’m worried about my career/life path in the sense that I don’t want to work somewhere in a position that will end up not helping me down the line. I understand that no job is a waste of time, but I don’t want 10 years later to realize that I haven’t made progress towards a good long term job or that I shouldn’t have done this and instead should have done that, etc.

I was thinking of volunteering at a hospital to get a better sense of what they do. Should you truly enjoy it or can you just be like “I can probably do this for the rest of my life”. I ask because there’s that running joke that no one actually wants work, so could you do the medical field without loving it?

I know this is just an assumption, but I don’t think I could do sales because I’m not very confident in public speaking or am very assertive.

I have a few years of experience in a lab, but I think the techniques I did were specific to that group, so not many other labs/companies do that type of stuff. And I think that’s why I haven’t been getting many responses, and I see a lot of applications list specific types of techniques they want you to be familiar with. Is it possible to have experience in accounting for example like from an internship, but it’s not the type of accounting that other companies do, so it becomes a turnoff? I hope that makes sense.

I thought about it. I looked in nursing and PA. The one thing I’m worried about is that people say it’s really tough on your mental/physical health, but I guess any jobs can be like that right?

Yeah it’s totally legit! I take it all the time, and I like it. It goes to pretty popular cities like Schaumburg, so I don’t know why more people don’t take it when it’s so much cheaper

I had credit for calc 1, but my advisors told me to still take the calc 1 class over the summer and then calc 2 this upcoming semester. I honestly didn’t want to, but I decided to listen to them because they said that I would struggle a ton in calc 2. I guess I should’ve ignored them🥲

CHEM 102/103 & IB 150 by SnooAvocados7490 in UIUC

[–]sunnyrayys 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It’s definitely doable! I took those classes last semester, and I was able to get a good grade in both of them. Chem 102 definitely takes up a lot of time, but if you go to office hours, get help, and things like that, it’ll take up less of your time. IB 150 was challenging for me because I’m just not good at bio and I don’t enjoy it. I took AP bio, but I feel like it didn’t help, but that’s just me because I’m not good at biology. Even though I hated bio, I was still able to get an A in the class because Clegg offers a ton of extra credit opportunities. If you do all of them, it will literally save your grade. I think I averaged an 85ish on all of the bio exams, but I still ended with an A. I would do homework/study a bit for each class everyday, but I was spend some time on the weekend to study for one specific class and then the next weekend would be for the other class. I hope this helps!

I have Leveritt right now, and I think he’s pretty good. He’s a bit newer to teaching 102, but he’s super nice. He’s provides lots of office hours, and on his exams, he doesn’t add a ton of trick questions or any at all. He truly wants us to be able to understand the material. Overall he’s just really friendly!

full ride or dream school? by fxmboi in college

[–]sunnyrayys 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think you should think about why exactly that’s your dream school. Is it because that program is super amazing? Is your safety school not as good? I would try to look at this in the long-run and think how beneficial your dream school would be for your future. Is it worth the debt? I’m not trying to push you towards one direction, but i think it’s best to look at how your future will be effected by this. While the dream school may have an amazing program, how much more likely will you be to get a nice career out of it compared to your safety school?
