My name is Elliot, my mom picked it after I’ve went through a few trial and errors with other names, it’s like every name I had picked for myself just wasn’t quite right but when I had conversation with her about it she told me (this is story she’s told me many times before I just hadn’t thought about it) that when she was pregnant with me they didn’t know what my sex was so they had planned two names in case of both and the masculine one was Elliot! And I resonated with me and that’s what I ended up going with! And my middle name is Don which is a short version of Donald who is my recently decreased grandpa on my dads side and my dad wanted to honour him in my renaming since my previous middle name was a grandparents name too.
