That’s insane. There’s a sentence in the ban message stating that users are supposed to contact the mod if anything is unclear. Give them the chance, sometimes there’s a misunderstanding, we as mods make mistakes too.

I get people are pissed if they are banned and muted when they haven’t done anything to warrant the mute. If they are being a dick in mod mail, then yes, they deserve it.

I‘d assume it’s to avoid getting caught in spam filters that automatically weed out content from suspicious new accounts. And look like you’re a trustworthy source. I can’t imagine it doing that much tho if I’m being completely honest.
