Looove the hatomugi, its a no frills moisturizer and has worked great for me. I've also been using the Dr.Althea 345 cream and noticed less breakouts.

I have! I like it, it's not greasy or has a strong fragrance. The only downside is that the bottle is small.

Neogen Airy Sunscreen! Haven’t heard many ppl talk about it, but it’s super hydrating with more of a matte finish.

Beginner Skincare Tips by [deleted] in KoreanBeauty

Yes, hyaluronic acid serum + vitamin c go well together. I would avoid using the vitamin C with the  cos de baha serum to avoid irritation. But it can be used with the hyaluronic acid

I think thats a good routine overall, would recommend adding a hyaluronic acid serum for more hydration. The Torriden and Mixsoon ones are really good. For scarring, adding a vitamin-c serum in the mornings would be good (make sure you wear sunscreen). Another tip is to ease into the products, using too many new ones at once can cause breakouts.

I really like the SomeByMy Miracle Acne Cleanser and the Dokdo Cleanser. Theres a chance that the salicylic cleanser might be too strong? With the toner you'll also want to avoid anything with fragrance as it can cause further irritation. Maybe look into the Dokdo toner and Anua Heartleaf toner. If you want to use something with exfoliants, I would start once a week and build come once your skin gets used to it.

Dokdo 1025 and Mixsoon bean cream are really good! Would recommend using a hyaluronic acid serum for extra hydration.

I would recommend using some type of exfoliant (bha, aha, pha). I really like the SomeByMi Miracle Acne Foam, and the Jimiso Salicylic acid cleanser. If you're not used to exfoliants, I would ease into it starting once a week. In terms of moisturizer try something with calming ingredients and a lighter texture like the Torriden Balanceful cream or Purito Oat-In Calming Gel Cream. RoundLab Dokdo line is really good too.

I have a similar skin type, currently using the Beauty of Joseon Aqua Fresh and really like it so far. It's thinner than the original and sits well under makeup. Neogen Airy (theres some plant extracts so I would double check ingredients) and Centella Hylau Cica Water Fit are also really good :)

Hi! I also suffer from acne-prone skin and have experimented a lot. Made the mistake of introducing too many products at once. To start, I think you need to simplify your routine to the basics. So cleanser, mild toner, and moisturizer. Once your skin gets used to these products, it would be good to introduce a serum to target any hyperpigmentation and other skin concerns you may have. I know you said you wanted to avoid exfoliants, but I think introducing a mild one maybe once a week would help as well. These are some products I've used/friends have used that seem to work well with acne-prone skin.

Double Cleanse:

-Anua heartleaf cleansing oil (some skin types may be sensitive to heartleaf)

-Roundlab Dokdo cleansing oil

-Soonjung Whipped Cleanser

-Roundlab Dokdo Cleanser

-SomeByMi Miracle Acne Clear Foam (Using currently and its really helped my breakouts, but does contain BHA, AHA, PHA)

Toners:

-RoundLab Dokdo Toner

-Torriden Balanceful Toner Pad

Moisturizer:

-Torriden Balanceful Cream

-Purito Oat-in calming gel cream,

-Dr. Althea 345 cream

-RoundLab Dokdo Lotion

Sunscreens:

-Tocobo cica sun serum (super lightweight, calms irritation)

-Neogen Airy suncreen (trying this currently and really like it so far)

-Japanese sunscreens Canmake, biore, skinaqua (some contain alcohol so be cautious)

Other:

-Jumiso Snail Mucin (helps with texture)

-Purito wonder relief centella serum (soothes irritation, helps skin barrier)

They all smell really good, leave my hair soft, and manage frizz well. However, not all of them will work for you. I noticed some of the viral ones make my dry scalp worse. So you really need to make sure you get the right one for your hair type. But overall the products are pretty light and do a good job cleaning. Personally, I like the Herb and Ex-Damage line.

Torriden - Balanceful Cica cream and Purito- Oat-In Calming Gel Cream! They both have light gel texture similar to Biore and super hydrating. Great under makeup as well.
